Recording Artist/Producer/Engineer Yo Smitty was born Jarrod Smith on June 29, 1988 in Atlanta, Ga. Smitty moved to Fresno, Ca with his mother at the age of 3 where he was raised. He was introduced to musicianship by his stepfather, who was a musician/songwriter and was introduced to producing beats as a young teen by his older brother who was also an artist/producer. Smitty began to write and create his own music while developing a passion for playing the piano and bass guitar. From there Smitty began to write songs that he would later record as original tracks. He was introduced to Fruity Loops 10 by his god brother Skizz Tha Mane 2011 and quickly mastered the program and art of creating catchy melodies and basslines, mainly through his ability to play the piano. Smitty built his own studio and recording booth and began to produce and engineer his own music. In the beginning of 2015 Yo Smitty released his first mixtape title “My Time”. Smitty continues to produce and record his own music and is expected to release his next body of work very soon.
