She was raised in Dothan, Al and began singing at a very young age and discovered she could sing in her Middle school show choir. Whitney comes from a musically inclined family and never knew how much she appreciated music until her father who was a musician as well introduced her to different artists such as Anita Baker, Kim Burrell, Mint Condition and many others. She then began to sing along to all of these artists records until she truly began to study and understand real music.
