Leonard Ceaser III (born July 10, 1988), better known as Tre Ceaser is an American rapper, singer, and song writer under Revolutionary Ent/2245 Ent. Tre was born in Monroe, LA and grew up in Booker T. Washington neighborhood on the east side of Monroe. The middle class to poor environment has its share of criminal activities but his family values molded him to be someone from the streets but not raised by the streets. His father, Leonard Ceaser Jr., a hard working and clever man and loving mother, Victoria Ceaser, a business owner taught him how to become a successful and respected man despite his surroundings. Tre is the middle child of three (DePaul & O’sha Ceaser). During Tre’s early childhood, times were not the easiest financially. He also went through emotional struggles which caused him to grow mentally strong at an early age. His family and Tre are strong believers in God. With his parents having their spiritual beliefs, hip-hop and any other musical genres with explicit lyrics were not allowed to be listened to in the house. BET and MTV were channels his mother considered a bad influence but being rebellious, Leonard often found ways to listen to music. He would wait until his parents were busy or sleep to turn the radio or TV on and set the volume really low. Even though Tre was born and raised in the south, his musical influences strongly come from East Coast rappers. Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z, DMX, Kanye West, Common are some artist considers as his favorites. He still remains loyal to his southern roots, he also listened to artists like The Hot Boys and the No Limit Soldiers.

At the age of thirteen, his mother began to open up allowing him listen to music and watch music videos. At that same age is when he first wrote his first lyrics while over his cousin’s house early one morning. Even though he had love for the art of music, that part of his life took a back seat to his ability to play sports. He played football from fifth grade to college and received an athletic scholarship at the University of Central Arkansas. While playing football in 6th grade he met his good friend (Teddy Zeigler), who also shared a similar passion for music. From the friendship they built, they often made music on a recreational level. All through high school and college, Tre found ways to incorporate music in his life. Rather if it was a simple freestyle or written work, music seemed to follow him. During college is when he meet his present label mates M.T.B. and Ziot. The way they all met is a story in its self but they see it as a sign and believe they were brought together for a purpose.

Tre Ceaser’s style of hip-hop is one of true art. He uses past experiences (good and bad) as fuel to deliver poetry to a tune he believes any one can relate to no matter what race, social status, or background. His work varies from content based on the news and what’s going on in today’s society to the overload of everyday thoughts he considers boxed in. He uses his music as a form of release therapy
