Tyrone “Ricky” Hopson is an American independent recording/performing artist, songwriter, music producer, studio engineer, musician and entertainer, in multiple music genres including, Hip Hop, Rap, Trap, R&B and Pop. Tyrone is also known professionally by his stage name “G³” (God/Gangsta/Genius) and his alter ego “S.D.M.M.” (SupaDupaMegaMan). Born and raised in St. Louis, MO, G³ first became involved with music after joining his middle school band and drumline which he continued throughout high school. This spawned his knowledge, interest and love for music and later would lead him to be inspired to write, produce, create and perform musical masterpieces of his very own. In 2001, G³ wrote, co-wrote, recorded, produced and released several tracks including, “Big Mouth”, “Days Off”, “I’m From Tha Lou”, and “I Look’s Good”. In May 2009, G³ received his Associate’s Degree in “Music Production & Technology” from Missouri Western State University in Saint Joseph, MO. In April 2016, G³ released two singles titled, “Go Hard or Go Home” and “Out Of My Head” to iTunes, Spotify, AmazonMp3 and several other online distributors of digital music. G³ is in the process of completing his upcoming album titled “Do We Have A Deal?” with a release date scheduled for January 12, 2017. Additionally, G³ will also be collaborating with artist “Mz. T. Chelle” to release two additional singles and music videos for the songs “My Life (Remix)” and “Ride 4 U” where he is a featured artist on both and the producer of the instrumental for “My Life (Remix)”. Overall, music is G³’s love, passion and life and he believes that it takes hard work to obtain successful results. Two of his favorite quotes are, “The destiny of one’s self resides in thine own hands.” and “If one does not stand for something of intellectual or moral value then he/she shall fall for anything of the opposite nature.”
