Charles “So-Si” Ford was born in Riverside, California on January, 4 1989. From a young age (4) Charles showed a peculiar interest in music, from constant whistling and singing, to banging on anything in reach to, “hear what sound it makes.” As Charles became older he procured an interest in computers. While online one day he stumbled across a simple beat sequence program, he was hooked. Since that point he has been actively involved in the music scene producing, singing, and writing often. When asked what he is doing you can almost guarantee the answer will be, “Music, hit me later.” All who come into contact with Charles can see and hear the passion put into his musical career. He continues to build on what he already knows, constantly practicing his saxophone, searching for new sounds, or listening to music, “broadening his sound.” He produces for several artists including up and coming hip-hop artist, Anthony Dollar. Charles entire personality, musically, can be summed up in a series of texts I received from him one day… “Man…I’m sittin’ up here literally cryin listening to ‘Successful.’ This is my passion…I feel this. I’m gonna make it. I have to. I just need someone to see that.”
