| Bio | Greetings from the ‘Dark Continent,’ ‘The Motherland,’ and my own personal PARADISE here in Africa! I’m a single woman, Southern Belle by birth, born and reared in the Gulf Coast of America and have lived in my adopted home town of DAKAR, SENEGAL for about 12 years now. I moved over in 1999 with my 3 children (13, 9 & 5 at the time) to educate my kinds in the EXCELLENT INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE PROGRAM that is STANDARD, throughout the ENTIRE COUNTRY! We didn’t even have IB when I was growing up, within 500 miles of our home! Throw in the safety and security of living in a Muslim country, (2nd from the BOTTOM of the world for murders), drug, alcohol & gang free environment, and BEAUTIFUL WEATHER every single day… I came originally as a tourist, moving here was a NO BRAINER! So young women (and men), don’t be skeered… If you are thinking of ADVENTURE TRAVEL, Senegal is your place. VOLUNTEER TOURISM? We have a NO FEE placement service – always looking for English teachers! If you want to LEARN FRENCH, Senegal is cheaper than France and FRIENDLIER TOO! | Favorite Quotations | “Jesus didn’t have no backup band…” (talking about gospel choirs out of control!) Minister Farrakhan “NIGGAS ARE SCARED, NIGGAS ARE SCARED, NIGGAS ARE SCARED, of REVOLUTION. But Niggas shouldn’t be scared of revolution because REVOLUTION IS NOTHING BUT CHANGE… and all Niggas DO IS CHANGE!” “Ain’t nuthin’ new under the sun… everything’s a remix!” |

| Activities | Work – I work from 15-18 hrs a day running all of my businesses and I'm always looking for more! You have to work today FOR tomorrow. |
| Interests | I like to connect people and projects (volunteer as well) for the betterment of everyone – hopefully at a profit for someone else as well as myself! Conspiracy theories and debating issues of race, religion, gender, business and politics. |
| Music | Old school – Prince, Boys 2 Men, Paris (b4 he fell off!), Last Poets,Grandmaster Flash, Kid Frost, (that Latino's got skills!), Whodini, Sugarhill Gang, Gil Scott Heron, Jill Scott too, James Brown and others, including Willie D (xxx but what a lyricist!)! Also Bob Marley and old skol Jazz like Michael Ward |
| Books | The Art of War, The Peter Principle, Think & Grow Rich, A Black Choice, (also the original), Money Talk, Black History Books, Black Sci Fi ('Wild Seed' comes to mind), (auto) and biographies of successful people, Lee Iocca and The Art of the Deal – good ones. |
| Movies | Their Eyes were Watching God… I really liked that movie (book by Zora Neale Hurston) because she believed in the possibility of true love without age or economic boundaries and the protagonist was able to enjoy true freedom, even though her man was not perfect. He made her happy, perfectly. Isn't that what all of us would like?! |
| Television | Smart shows with successful Black people. I'm liking Single Ladies and The Game right now (I wish they weren't so promiscuous I think it reinforces the bad messages Black people already emulate at 'normal' from music and videos). I liked Undercovers, even though it got stupid (homeboy was Irish???), LUTHER is off the chain, (tho it is sad there has never been a serious detective series with a black lead actor in the US), The Ladies #1 Detective Agency (again, BBC tv), The Event (but got cancelled),Wendy Williams and Mo'Nique, Lens on Talent and 106 & Park (go head BET!), Boondocks, Dance Scene and other reality shows featuring Black folks doin' something positive. Hey, how is HawthoRNe still on the air? WEAK! |
