Very few can carry the weight of a title like “triple threat.” But as a phenomenal vocalist, an accomplished vocal producer and a sought after songwriter, Ashley Nicole has no problem living up to such a hefty moniker. Ashley Nicole’s star is rising and she is quickly building a fan base as she begins her journey in becoming the next female icon.
By endowing so much of herself into her music, Ashley draws directly upon her life’s experiences for inspiration. The result: music described as “ageless and timeless” fused with expressions of life and love. Her passion, desire, inner strength and faith can be felt in every note. In her own words, Ashley Nicole firmly believes that “Anything is attainable if you chase it with all you’ve got.”
Kim Burrell, Erykah Badu, Brandy, D’ Angelo, Celine Dion and even the late great jazz vocalist Ella Fitzgerald, acted as catalysts in the development of Ashley Nicole’s vocal style and motivated her in finding her own voice. Because of her eclectic songs and style, Ashley Nicole is hard to fit into genres such as R&B and soul. That, in itself, makes her irreplaceable and incomparable.
In addition to chasing her dreams, she completed her collegiate career at Spelman College in Atlanta, GA. She served as a Bonner Scholar and believes that one must give back in order to move forward. Ashley has traveled internationally and throughout the United States singing background for many notable artists. She also had the great opportunity of singing as a background choir vocalist in Tyler Perry’s “I Can Do Bad all By Myself.” Although she is a talented singer, songwriter and vocal producer, she is still very dedicated to the things that ground her most.
