Bio

“Youth is wasted on the young” is not a cliché used the way one may think in this case. It means coming with something new while holding on to old school roots; which is exactly what new Independent Artist Rameer J is bringing to the game. At the young age of 18, Rameer J has been mixing lyrical content with a conscious state of mind since the age of 12 when he started off as a battle rapper which is when he decided he wanted to do something with his gift. “I’ve always loved music! I’ve always loved Jay Z”, states Rameer J when asked about his motivation to step into the arena of Hip Hop.
It was easy to gain the acceptance and the stamp of approval from his friends and those who had the opportunity to hear his lyrical architecture, but there was one whom he had much more to prove, his Father. It wasn’t until Rameer J was able to get his father to sit down and listen to the work that he put in that his Father would not only become a fan but Rameer J’s greatest supporter.
“I’m going to bring originality to the game. I’m tired of hearing a lot of the same thing. I want to bring back the truth!”
Rameer J stands out by rapping about what others fear, reintroducing the fact that it is okay to be yourself. Rameer J states “I don’t try to pose like someone that I am not”. Which is so common in today’s state of Hip Hop. Rameer J knows how to play his part in this game. A young man who still plans to go to college understanding the importance of education as well as understanding that being a role model is not a choice but a privilege in this game and aims to be the best.
Versatile in lyrical style, Rameer J has a catalog sure to please across various demographics. With more to come, Rameer J’s single “What Chu Mean”, is due to drop at the beginning of the year. There is no end to what Rameer J has in store.
