exas born “Geez” didn’t intend to get such a late start in the rap game. At age 34, the Mobile AL. raised rhymer got his start coining rhymes in class. Later rapping his material after school on a 1mile walk home gave the then 7th grader a hobby and craft that went from a simple infatuation to a love for the “art” of rap music. However, like many others, dreams of making it in the rap game were derailed when an auto accident left the young man (then 19) unable to perform his craft effectively. Years passed, and more influences were introduced into the music industry, specifically the rap persuasion. As Geez conditioned worsened however, he needed an outlet to release the frustrations, the pains, and the losses that piled on his shoulders in the wake of his accident. So in 2003 he made a conscious effort to get back to something he loved. He met a fellow rapper, Jovonny Holloway, that encouraged the now insecure artist to just “spit” and “let it out”. After 5years removed from the art form he loved, his first song in as many years was recorded, “after party” with “JoeyBlack” and “Cartier”. The drama continued however when another medical setback left Geez hospitalized for 9months in late 2003. After months of rehab, a final hospital stay was needed in 2005 that eventually led the aging aspiring artist to Atlanta Ga for more skilled medical aid. Finally in 2008 Geez had his last encounter with his medical issues and was allowed to continue his efforts with his craft. After years of being In and out the hospital, family loss and tragedy, and bouts with the legal system. Geez has acquired a whole new love and appreciation for the expression music embodies, particularly rap So fueled with determination, motivation, and decades of writing rhymes, Geez hopes to be able to finally put together the articles of music that has so masterfully eluded him over more than a decade. His vision an aspirations in his music have only one vision and goal… Not for any glitz or glam, any egotistical gains of confidence… but simply the privilege of getting heard..
