Tameka Thomas is an imaginative Master Barber, Andis Educator, designer, and sculptor who is driven by an incredible passion for self-expression through art. Her works are often noted for their unique style, elegance, and technique. Tameka has developed an innovative style that blends precise realism with abstract expressionism. Her use of vibrant colors and strong lines make her work an excellent choice for a wide range of projects and purposes. Tameka is accomplished in using traditional methods as well as modern technique. Her designs have been featured on websites and magazines across the nation. Tameka loves to express her vision through art, she is also adept at creating commercial works and readily communicates the vision of her clientele. Tameka Thomas is a self-taught master barber artist. Born in 1979 in Port Gibson, Mississippi, Tameka took to art as soon as she was able to hold a crayon. Throughout her childhood, Tameka developed an appreciation for her majestic surroundings of having five brothers. She would often sit in tress for hours with pencil and pad, and visualizing everything possible. Years of artistic expression made it clear that Tameka’s life would be centered upon her passion for art. During her childhood, she decided to try out the barbering game and now been in this profession for 17 years. After high school, Tameka attending Hinds Community College and completed her Drafting & Design and then her Barber/Stylist course in 2005.
