The entertainment industry and the fans that support it have stepped out and are demanding a change to the same old recycled sounds that seems to be plaguing music. One producer has stepped up to answer this call and with a unique style that blends elements from the East Coast, Midwest, and the South, MoTrakx is set to create the innovative head nodding sound that will revolutionize music as we know it.

Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland until 1987 when he moved to Brooklyn, NY Motrakx grew up listening to music from both cities. This early exposure to music combined with his mother constantly playing music in their house and car gave Motrakx a great love for music at a very early age. At the age of five Motrakx was given his first keyboard and although he was still very young he would carry it everywhere with him, creating new sounds and imitating the sounds he heard through his mother’s speakers. Throughout the next few years Motrakx would continue to listen to and flirt with the idea of creating music. In 1993 he discovered DJ’ing and began teaching himself the art of mixing sounds together, this would also lead him to begin making his first beats as well as rapping with a group called “Mortuary Men.” Motrakx immediately realized that he was much better at making beats then he was at rapping and so he set out on his own and began producing for other local artists including Brooklyn Based Hip Hop group “Data Corp.” Through his production Motrakx opened his first production studio in his Mother’s apartment in Brooklyn, NY.

As he continued to produce for local artists, Motrakx realized that in order for him to really take his career to that next level he needed to study the technicalities of production and learn from those who came before him. In 1999 Motrakx left Brooklyn for college in Minnesota where he not only secured a degree as a recording engineer but also studied under world-class engineers, Chopper Black and Scott Jarret. Armed with a new wealth of knowledge as well as new musical influences from his time in the Mid West, Motrakx moved back to New York City and opened up a new studio. He had such great success with his studio and the sounds that he was creating that only two years later he opened a second studio in Baltimore, Maryland. With his two studios operating in Cities that although they are in the same region have such different styles of sound, Motrakx was able to continue building upon his diverse production style. After three years of operating his two studios and crafting sounds for some of the East Coast’s best, Motakx recognized the great need for new production in the booming Southern Hip Hop industry. In December of 2007 he relocated to Atlanta and teamed up with the very accomplished songwriter Dayton “Mesali” Wellington to open a new studio as well as form the super star production team known as Lost Art Productions.

Motrakx’s has become known as the must have producer when artists are seeking that fresh new sound. His production is innovative and combines so many different elements from the different regions that it is impossible to label it as one particular style. This production style combined with his entrepreneurial spirit of owning and operating his own top notch production facilities has many in the entertainment industry actively seeking him out to craft that perfect sound for their artist’s ultimate success.
