Born March 7,1980. Ramona Renee Johnson known as (Mona J) raised in Richmond VA, is an up and coming artist bringing a new sound to R&B music in this century. In her music there is a melting pot of musical diversity. You will hear sounds of Jazz, R&B, Reggae, and Rock with acoustic tones and melodies with lyrical content containing direct messages. The essence of her real life stories will capture the hearts and ears of all people who have similar stories untold.
A born leader since the age 5, Ramona (Mona J) has been show casing her talent in many events, school choirs, talents shows, city events and any many other platforms available. Mona J has used the world as her stage to show her talent. Mona J has also been apart of many musical groups such as DUC, Black Money, Charade, Corporate Hustle to say the least. After having her share working with musical groups, Mona J artistry developed into one of its own and she then found her musical independence. She then took her independent act, doing shows locally and in different states.
Over the years her hard work, perseverance and dedication has allowed her to be CEO of Mona J 804 LLC, and has also allowed her to work along the side of top artist such as, Inspectah Deck of Wu Tang Clan, M. I. G of Crime Mob, Da Kid Track affiliates of Project Pat, Waka Flocka, Wooh Da Kid, Capp Da Prez from Bricksquad Records, Kebo Gotti former artist at Mizay Ent and many more doing online and street promotion and assisting with getting the artist features and show bookings. These encounters led her to meeting Ceo of Cornerstore Entertainment Sean P of the Young Bloodz, who gave Mona J the role of “First Lady of his new label. Mona J 804 LLC’s purpose is to bring forth real music and and give back to the community helping today’s youth to showcase there talents with giving them an opportunity and resources such as; artist development, placement, promotion, bookings, photography, networking and consultation.
