BIOGRAPHY – MOFOHARI

MofoHari is American born, emigrating to the UK at 19, returning to the US in 2009. While in the UK she studied under some highly experienced mentors through “Access To Music for Performing Artists, Advanced” at Blackburn College, achieving distinctions and gaining valuable knowledge/practical experience relating to music business, performance skills, music video production, lyric writing, voice training and much more.

A poet from earliest memory in childhood, she began putting poems to music on her acoustic guitar and recording on a Tascam 4 track in 2002, after discovering her father had terminal heart disease and wanted to give him something personal and special. This was the beginning of her music path.

MofoHari connected with her music team MaDD PpuLL online via Soundclick in 2005, and has to date recorded over 100 tracks thru her association with this large international network of skilled artists, broadening her horizons with a variety of genres including hip hop, r&b, jazz, soul, evolving into her own, uncategorical style. She began working extensively with producer Chrismorale (co founder of MaDD PpuLL) at that time, who embraced and encouraged her uniqueness, and with whom she has made many tracks and released a mixtape.

This unstoppable artist released her album “Love On All Accounts” in December 2013, (Now available on iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody,BandCamp , SoundClick Store and many other sites) as a follow up to her three previous mixtapes ‘Movin On: Alternative Paths’, ‘Dreamz I: Walk With Me’ and most recently ‘Dreamz II: Stay With Me’ released September 2012. In addition she had hosted and compiled two mixtapes for MaDD PpuLL: WorldWydeWeb I and II, which showcases the work of the international artists collectively known as MaDD PpuLL,available on DatPiff.

‘Love On All Accounts’, a 20 track album features Ruste Juxx, Tross, Tiguh, Hitmaker Tep, Sim Kapone and Big Spook Loc, with production from Nick Wiz (Cella Dwellas), Da Beatminerz, Jazo, Naninu Productions, Tone Spliff, Black Tiger Productions, Marcus Priime, Inkredibill, Wyze Intellect and more!

MofoHari’s vocals have been compared to Erykah Badu, Sade, Jill Scott, Teena Marie and Amy Winehouse. ..but ultimately she has a style that is not pinpointable, strangely original and unique in its own right.

‘Love On All Accounts’ combines a variety of genres, vibes and styles, from hard body hip hop (Love On All Accounts – title song with Ruste Juxx and Tross, Produced by Nick Wiz (Cella Dwellaz)) to neo soul (Until It Fades Away Produced by Dirk Digga), with sounds of smooth jazz (Incredible Produced by Jazo) as well as alternative pop/world/urban (In 4 Tha Kill, Produced by Da Beatminerz) – RnB, spoken word..you name it..its bound to be there.

As the title suggests, the album looks at various angles of ‘Love’, from the sweet, emotional type, to a love of life and the memories it engraves on our hearts, as well as the more dangerous types of love such as obsession, and so much more!

Passionate about all aspects of music, from writing, to recording, to performance and everything connected, by 2009 MofoHari and Chrismorale had taken their mutual passion to another level to host their own radio show “The Chrismorale Experience” on WIFI 1460 which ran for three years and had built a large following. Subsequently, she hosted internet show “Radio Zero”, receiving excellent feedback and support from both listeners and artists.

What next? MofoHari is looking forward to more recording, performing, collaborations and session work to fulfill her own need to grow as a musician/entertainer. Hot on the heels of her new release, MofoHari already has a new project bubbling in the pot..watch this space.
