My real name is Josh Moses. I’m from Kansas City, Missouri. That’s where my artist name came from, the 816 is our area code. I’ve been making music since 4th or 5th grade. Started out singing and went into rapping after graduating high school I developed my lyrical skills while attending the university of Missouri. I think being away from home helped me really see myself and who I want to be. Once I realized for sure who I was I stopped going to my classes and started spending all my time with friends and women and making music. That’s how I see myself. That’s when I’m the happiest.. Of course I got money goals and reasons for them but that’s something you’ll learn more about in the music. I moved to Atlanta after dropping out of school to create my music career. I was hit with many obstacles like being homeless and losing my apartment days before my son was born, but I’ve learned a lot and grown a lot since then. Since I’ve become more transparent due to the development of my artistic abilities I was able to tell all my stories from my own perspective. So many if not every person who has spoke with me about my music tell about how much they feel it and how they cheering for me and inspired. I am going to show them what I always saw in myself and how we can reach our dreams if we believe in ourselves and keep going.
