Mike Lee ThaBandit is a Rap/Hip Hop/R&B artist, and head of the independent record label MoMoneyMoPaint Records out of Dallas, Texas. As an artist, his sound is strongly influenced by UGK and driven by Underground Music sensibilities. Taking inspiration from iconic artists such as Eve, 50 Cent, Slim Thug and Keith Sweat, he is pushing the genre envelope to deliver great music the only way he knows how: with passion and purpose. He began writing his own music at the age of twelve and started recording only a year later, driven by a constantly changing world in which he never felt he quite belonged. Fiercely independent, he engineers and produces all of his own music. His single, “Don’t Need the Luv” took top honors as Best Single in a regional songwriting competition, and is available for download on most digital platforms. Since establishing MoMoneyMoPaint Records in 2012, he has dropped at least one mixtape a year. His latest project is an EP, titled “UnfortunateLee”. Set to drop in 2016, it will be available on iTunes, Amazon and GooglePlay.
