Growing up mostly on the east side of Harlem in New York City. Markus never had the peaches and cream life from the beginning of his childhood. Spending a partial course of his life in and out of shelters with his parents and younger brother. When they suspected they was on the right course there was always something that set them back. In elementary school Markus learned that he had a talent for poetry,he built upon that until it evolved to rap. He noticed his talent for rap when one of his friends entered him in a rap battle at a house party in his early teenage years which put him in gear. Throughout his years he focused on writing songs based on his struggles and about life in general, being inspired by Drake and Logic, Markus wants to show that a black kid can make it out the hood, graduate high school and college, and spit a lyrical game that strays away from the mainstream topics such as Money,Women, Drugs,and alcohol.Using his life and his parents as motivation he will soon be the first in his entire family to go to college and bring hip hop back to it’s roots.
