Kevis MAYS is a Recording, Mix, and Mastering Audio Engineer from Jackson, TN. Although exposed to music his entire life, he became especially involved in the industry at the age of 12 when he began traveling and touring professionally built recording studios with his uncles, who were an independent rap group known as Everlasting Gangstas, aka E.L.G. From there, his passion and love for music grew.

By the age of 15, he opened his first recording studio and began to produce, rap, mix, master, and write songs for local artists. A few years later, Kevis began to travel to nearby cities, such as Memphis and Nashville, TN, connecting with signed artists and independent record labels. He began to share his musical ideas and style and soon started to get recognition for his mixing techniques. After getting calls for several mixing projects, he quickly discovered a natural musical talent, being able to listen to the details and collaborate his mixing skills with his clients’ ideas, bringing music to life.

Over the next few years, he spent his time researching and gaining more knowledge surrounding the music industry and began to work with major artists. He professionally designed and built a local recording studio to work from and soon began to design and acoustically treat other surrounding studios while working and assisting with projects.

Currently working freelance, Kevis has gained a multitude of experience. He has worked in several different studios from the east coast to the west coast using a variety of equipment, software and consoles. He has also worked with a variety of genres and had the opportunity to meet many artists, songwriters, producers, musicians, professional representatives, and other engineers. His ultimate goal is to become a Grammy award-winning recording, mix and mastering engineer.
