At the tender age of ten Kendi was in NYC visiting her family for the summer.She found out two things that blew her mind. for one..she found out she had a cousin named Kendi and the other thing she was introduced to Hip Hop! Her big cuzin was writin a rhyme to a Wu Tang track and asked her to write something to it.It was then that lilKendi fell in love with Hip Hop.! Years past and Kendi learned to freestyle at 11 and began writing songs.She slowly faded away from hip hop and began taking piano lessons and wanted to pursue playing basketball in college.Although Kendi stopped for a while here and there she would write poetry and it further Inspired her to begin writing lyrics for hip hop again..In 2002 Kendi recorded her first track in a studio in Jax, but it was shut down.In 2010 Kendi got back in the swing of wanting this more than ever and Now KENDI IS ON THE GRIND GETTING READY TO RELEASE HER VERY FIRST MIXXTAPE SEVEN2ELEVEN 07/02/11.!! Not only does she write her own lyrics she sings and freestyles to… She is a LYRICIST and Not A RAPPER.! Her sound is so unique and different and she def has an edge on competition ….America this is what the game has been missing..
