So i was in the 5th grade! (I think). It was “What Do You Want To Be When You Grow Up Day?” And I had never thought about that before, Because I thought all around me was it. I mean I knew i wanted to be rich! Have cars, jewelry, & all type different clothing (i.e. Jimmy Jazz) But I just didn’t know how to get it! So in the crib we had just got all these different VHS movies maybe 2-3 weeks before. I fell in love with the movie “Jerry Maguire” Because i was into jr. league football at the time (Cordova Lancers). So I showed up to class next day, the teacher called me up (Bryan) To the front! Without hesitation i said, I want to be a Sports Agent! I think my teacher knew what cloth i was cut from! My current situations. So she suggested i do something else; Because i would have to become a lawyer first. I knew i wasn’t traveling down that path any time soon. Especially with all the D’s & F’s on my report card! Which was partly do to not eating right everyday at home, Drug activity going on in the neighborhood. Often times a kid could become hopeless; Which could affect their school performance. So I remember coming home that same evening, And before 106 & Park, There was “The Box” a free service on regular T.V. That you could watch music videos on. All i remember is this lady coming down the escalator (Lil Kim) And this dude in a suit next to her (Now Known As Simply; Diddy). She was rapping and he was dancing, But the music video ended! And he never rapped a single verse! In which i was use to hearing when seeing people on videos. All he did was utter a few words and was fly! So I said in a flash of excitement…That’s what i want to be. Puff Daddy! As I told my teacher on the return date. She was speechless! Like “Who”. Almost as If she influenced me to downgrade to a wanting to be the father of marshmallows!. It wasn’t that what i wanted to do was wrong, but first she had to figure out what a “Puff Daddy” did, And needless to say… I did to! – Bryan Junior, C.E.O. Mathutie Recordz.
