Bio

Ian Guerin (June 23rd 1990) is an independent mexican recording artist second born to parents Isabel & Guillermo & brother to Marlene Guerin.

Ian gave his first signs of talent before turning one as a baby when his father caught him on film humming the national anthem. But it wasn’t till the age of 9 when an aunt discovered the magic of his vocals & drove him to a studio to have him recorded; Ever since THE I.G. has been recording covers.

Guerin was 14 when he penned his first all new original song called: “How Can I Explain” The song never made it to the studio but one year later I.G. had his first original track produced. The country oriented song was called: “1Chance” & Guerin then said it was the #113th song he had penned so far. The song was part of a Michael Jackson tribute recorded by the I.G. titled: “Revenge 2005.” His next original song recording was a ballad titled “Rainbow” but it never got released & was later rewritten & retitled “The Show Must Go On.”
Later recordings include unreleased singles “Slut” “Black dress” “Enchanting View” “Vicious” “She’s from mars” “Innocent” “Juntos” “A New Day” & “I could sing love” Some of which were demo versions that never made it to master.

“Forever Rose” was released on Stage.fm, Myspace & Indaba Music on February 2007 to favorable reviews & praising comments from family & friends, it also clipped to a #42 charting peak on Stage.Fm. It still remains a personal favorite among those who have followed Guerin’s musicology and was considered by many I.G.’s best song to date.
On that same year copies of his earliest records were gifted to family & friends under the title of “IAN/ONE” and “MAGICAL ME.” They were later put together with Revenge in a set that went by the name “P.S. REMASTERED” which stands for Private Songs: Remastered. The project was never put on print disc.

On 2008 “EVERLASTING: THE TRIBUTE SINGLES” Included covers to tribute the passing of an uncle on “New York, New York” & a friend on “One Sweet Day.” Guerin later wrote “Personal Letters” to commemorate the passing of his grandmother but never released the track as he’d “rather keep it personal.”
Later that year he produced/wrote & sang a special song made for his sister’s school talk show project titled “Peppen Rullon Theme Song.”
He also produced original Music for her Carpe/diem Short film under the same name & then mixed techno music as a hobby with titles such as: “Cables Went Wild” & “High Voltage” among others. He also competed in the “Remix Mariah’s I’ll be Loving You Long Time” challenge at the singers website & his “Long Luve Remix” had a final rank at #300 out of 1300.

On 2009 “I.G. PRESENTS: I.G. /SPIN THAT SHIT” Compilated a 10 remix set of famous songs that Guerin worked on, on his spare & sleepless dawns. “Gimme More The stripper pole remix” got best played at Indaba music & received praising reviews.

Also on 2009 “LOBSESSION” Guerin’s first ever all new self/written LP was put on the works. Songs like “No love in valentine (the prelude)” “The Show Must Go On” & “Forever Rose” were to be included & some all new others like “Midnite Lust” “Ms. Dance” & “The Very Best of You” were recorded. Covers of “Walking in Memphis” “That’s Life” & “Kissing a fool” were also recorded as a fill up.
“No love in Valentine” became G’s best charting ever when re-released on the dawn of Valentine’s Day 2009 peaking at the 16th spot on Stage.Fm charts. It had peaked at #17 the past year.

“Ms. Dance” was later released on Myspace, Stage.Fm & Indaba Music to what Ian called “My best reviews ever” and a chart peak of #31 on Stage.FM.
After that Guerin decided to make the project a single series instead of an LP and
“The Very Best of You” was released as a follow up on all 3sites to mixed reviews. “Kissing a Fool” was later released only on Indaba Music, but failed to review or chart.
“Midnite Lust” was also released only on Indaba Music & also failed to review.

On July 2010 Lobsession’s 3rd “official” delivery “Bubblegum; A song produced by Azhmir Vangort hit hard on Isound.com charts & Indaba Music. The song is considered, “THE BEST I.G. RECORDING EVER,” by those who have heard it.

On August 27th 2010 Bubblegum became available for sale on Itunes & other retailers, marking a break through in his career.
On October 23th 2010 Guerin Had a triple Celebration as the Bubblegum Remix by Producer/songwritter/ Singer DBXXXL titled “Bubblegum (DBXXXL’S Eass Eass Eass Remix)” was released for free download on Isound, Indaba, Myspace & Soundcloud. Guerin also produced an alternate remix & featured himself.
“Bubblegum (Blue Citric Remix /Ft. The I.G.)” is available for free download exclusively on Isound. That same day The official video for the song directed by his Father Guillermo premiered on Youtube.

In Early November Guerin also extended his I.G./ Spin That Shit Collection Adding his World Bounce & Crazy Jazz Remixes.
Two weeks after Guerin Returned to Vangort Soundworks to work AlongSide Producer Azhmir Vangort for a forth time on his latest single “I Heart” 4th official delivery of the “LOBSESSION SERIES” The Song premiered on ALL of the singers Sites & for sale on iTunes & the other I.G. retailers on December 15th 2010 to “Excepcional” reviews & a music video has been shot in support of the song. Ringtones for the two latest I.G. songs have been pronounced ready for release, but official date is pending.

In the eve of Valentines day 2011 Ian Guerin announced the release of a follow-up to (No love in Valentine 08/09) The “heartbreak” oriented song went under the title ” Its Valentines Day (Shoot Me)” and was released on February 14th 2010 Exlusively on Youtube & became the first none-downloadable Gee release ever. The song soon splacked from headliner love hit to a failed attempt to promote Guerin´s music on web as it got bare-to-none attention. According to Guerin The “Not downloadable” format was the reason to blame for its poor performance, but it was impossible to make it available as the catchy rhymes sat on a previously existing beat (Jennifer Lopez´s Get Right Instrumental 2005) For anti-piracy & respect reasons the song was categorized by Guerin as a Mash up & JLOs song was given credit at all times in the Headline title in Youtube. About the song Guerin was quoted “I am Literally obsessed with Get Right´s beat I always wanted to have to do with the song somehow & this was the perfect way to do it I simply love JLO.”

After 12years I.G. has said he is “ready to take life as it comes & to live it to the fullest.” He also said he thinks he’s penned somewhere around 1000 songs & recorded somewhere around 100 by now.
Guerin plans to release his new single in summer 2011. The new song was produced by Longtime partner/friend Azhmir Vangort.
