Jerome Brown (born November 8, 1987), who records under the moniker J.R. Da Kidd, is an Atlanta based recording artist, rapper, and songwriter. He was born in Tacoma, Washington. He got his first start as a rapper at age 17 performing at his high school talent show Sponsored by American music producer Jazze Pha.

He released his first group project on June 28, 2013 with The Insomniakz called No Sleep which was hosted by DJ Fly Guy of Plug DJs. The Mixtape spawned singles like “Peach Ciroc & Sprite” “I’m On Fire” and “Pull Up”. Shortly after the highly anticipated release, the group decided to split and J.R. began his solo career. He is most known for his creative hooks, and his melodic delivery that has garnered such attention as one of the brightest young artist set to make waves in this new era of hip-hop. He is hard at work preparing for the release of his first studio album. Do Write and Kill Everything was released Feb. 20, 2015 and is just the first of many to come.
