Bio | Christine “IAMCEOCARTER” Carter has been performing since the age of eight. Now, at thirty-two, she is an songwriter, popular rapper, and the CEO of So Focused Music Group and Rich Cartel Gang, based in Herndon, Virginia. CEO has been deeply involved in music all her life, from pop to rap to R&B, and uses every day influences as inspiration for her songwriting. The underlying message of her music is to always believe in yourself and never get discouraged no matter what life throws at you. The music itself is sharp, pure hip-hop, full of laid back beats and interstellar grooves.
CEO has been working on her new mixtape entitled “Writers Block’ as well as her podcast “Walk It How U Talk It. CEO was born Christine Carter on August 13th 1989 and grew up in Reston, Virginia, surrounded by music.
Her early years were spent rapping with her Uncle remixing great songs like “Turn Off the Lights” and “Let’s Stay Together,” and listening to old school music — the O’Jays, the Stylistics, Earth, Wind and Fire — with her grandmother. “Music has been my life ever since I got my first radio and listened to a CD my grandmother gave me for Christmas. It was Teddy Pendergrass’ and Al Green’s greatest hits”
From the age of 8 onwards, CEO was constantly performing; singing in the church choir, at talent shows and community events.. CEO’s mother died from complications from HIV/AIDS when the rapper was only 15, and the experience of taking care of her mother throughout her illness only made her will to succeed that much stronger, to honor her mother.
CEO is an entertainer and family person whose work you are going to want to follow, and 2012 is going to be an amazing year for her. With success of her first show since losing her mother CEO managed to book herself as the main opener for Bad Boy/Atlantic Artist “Donnie Klang”.
