| Bio | San Antonio up and coming young producer Andre “FNS” Johnson has hit the music scene with classic instruments that rival main stream producers. FNS just as the acronym for his name suggest FRESH NEW SOUNDS musical ear has street flavor meeting gospel and jazz. His sound is a mixture of the top established producers and influences such as Just Blaze, Neptunes, Timberland, Swizz Beats with a touch of Quincy Jones. FNS (Pronounced finesse) got his musical start not by choice but by necessity after his childhood church drummer quit on the spot and his Aunt told him to sit in on the drums. No one anticipated what would happen next. FNS became the state drummer for the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship. He played the local gig at USAA family functions showcasing new music talents for their employees for the last 3 yeaars. FNS self taught keyboarding also came out of necessity to learn to play a song by Bishop Paul S. Morton, “Draw me Near”. After perfecting this song and letting people hear his newly added instrument to his repertoire he began to get tips from other musicians which has led to him getting gigs as a keyboardist. FNS has perfected all chords and his signature chord is a 2-5-1 progression which is hotter than any Puerto Rican Rum. FNS still on his musical quest heard one of the greatest musical works of all times, Quuincy Jones produced song “Thriller” recorded by Michael Jackson. FNS intrigued by the manipulation and patterns of Michael’s vocals on the recording. Quincy’s funky basslines and synth patterns are a heavy influence in FNS tracks. FNS on his quest for producer pay dirt, uprooted from Texas and headed to Los Angeles, Calilfornia. FNS attempt to attend LARS school, however it was just to expensive. Living out of his car and air mattress and lawn chair in quest of his shot at the big time. FNS parents begged him to return back to Texas. He couldn’t get a job in the migrant working area. Eating peanut butter crunchy for most meals to survive. Finally getting a small break with Hood for Life Records, FNS began to get tips from producer Johnny Tech, who has musical credits with ICE-TEE, Ron Isley and R&B sensation Jon B. After filling up his musical I.Q. and a decreasing quality of life FNS returned home to Texas. FNS landed quickly and began to move up in the San Antonio commercial production team of Famous Artist Mangement. FNS has had musical works on the radio that have had various parts and influence drum patterns and street credibility synth sounds. Working on projects with Big Gemini, Frankie J, TEXABAMA, Sean B, Solo Thee, Mac, Maniac, Chelesea G, D.J. and new industry noise maker BAMBU!!! FNS signature saying is “I’m a producer, not a beat maker” only serious people need to call. FNS continues to get the best out of artist and deserves a shot at the big time. FNS evisions himself as a Super Producer, which will be obtained by hard work and giving up his personnel life for his music. FNS will soon be putting his sounds on the road and venturing to and area near you with his FRESH NEW SOUND. |
