Jasmine was born in West Palm Beach, FL to John and Shirlene Robinson in 1989. At an early age, Jasmine showed an interest in various creative art forms such as music and dance. Throughout her formative years, Jasmine always loved to “play dress up”.

Once she entered high school, all of Jasmine’s peers started recognizing her eclectic interest in fashion, but to Jasmine, it wasn’t a big deal because it came natural. Eventually her eye for fashion led to daily compliments on her creative ensembles and even requests from peers for assistance with their wardrobe selections.

Upon graduation, Jasmine was at a crossroad in her life and decided to follow her passion and attend the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, FL. From that point on, Jasmine realized that her purpose in life was to show the world that “we were not created to be copies.” The way Jasmine decided to communicate this statement along with her love for God was to create “out-of-the-box” apparel for young adult Christians.

Throughout the development of Ajasi, Jasmine drew heavily from her mother, Shirlene Robinson for inspiration, support, encouragement and funding. Jasmine credits her mother for the push she needed to birth Ajasi.
