Bio

“It ain’t bout me, it’s bout them boys! You know what I mean, Double the Trouble man, for real,” states the Atlanta based Bricksquad 1017 rapper Waka Flocka Flame! “Them boys certified man, them boys doing they thing. Shouts out they stamped by the Opa-Locka goon, Young Money Cash Money Poe Boy,” says Poe Boy Entertainment rapper Brisco!

Raequan(Young Stax) and Raeshaun(Young Fresh), are 13 year-old fraternal twins that were born and raised in Charlotte, NC. Recording their first ever song at the age of 8 called “I’m A Young”, the twins instantly grabbed the attention of everyone who heard their music! Over the next couple of years, the twins played around with music here and there, but got serious about it at age 11. At the time, their big brother/Manager Tee-Gib was a local rapper with great connections and decided it was time to focus all of his time and energy into grooming and crafting their lyrical and performance skills. Their Manager Tee-Gib connected Young Fresh and Young Stax with Hurrikane Production Producer Ewillie Williams and they recorded their first album, self-titled Double Trouble Twins! The album quickly created a buzz around the Carolinas and the single “Guess Who” received alot of local attention from radio stations to schools to 21 and up night clubs! Another track off the album entitled “Make Good Grades” was featured on CBS Radio Station WPEG Power 98’s “Next Big Thing”, and 100% of the callers said “Keep It”!

The Double Trouble Twins did their first show ever on October 26, 2009 at Club Skandalos in Charlotte, NC where they have One Mic Mondays and came in 1st place! Since October 2009, the twins have gained the support of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and have performed at numerous events around the Carolinas including the 13th Annual Juneteenth Festival of the Carolinas, being invited by CBS Radio Station WPEG Power 98 to perform during halftime of the Celebrity Basketball Game held in Charlotte, NC, Club Faces, Tropical Heat, Bentley’s RSVP, Club Uptown Lounge, and Metro Proponent Newspaper’s Yacht Party just to name a few!

To increase their exposure and marketing, the Double Trouble Twins went store to store, neighborhood to neighborhood, and school to school in different cities rapping for people and passing out flyers on what they’re doing. This quickly grabbed the attention of other local artists and strengthened their support system around the Carolinas. They have youtube videos with numerous artists based out of Charlotte, NC including Young S Dub, Cutty Boi, King Carter, Royal Tee, Deucie, Sonny Rich, Revenue, 2ew Fly, and Ridiculous Kiddz just to name a few. They have been co-signed by WPEG Power 98’s DJ Buttafingaz and DJ Stretch-O-Matic. They have also been co-signed by numerous Charlotte, NC promoters such as Sport E. Odie, JKnow Truth, Fred “Fresh” Johnson, Dizzy Fitzgerald, and Crisspy Shabazz just to name a few! Wanting to take it to the next level, the twins purchased a 15 passenger van and got it “Wrapped” with their pictures, websites, and slogan “No Dream Is Too Big”! “We can’t always stop and talk to everyone person by person, so the van is like a mobile billboard for us,” states Young Fresh and Young Stax! They also have posters, t-shirts, hats, and car stickers to maximize their exposure. They have been featured on numerous mixtapes and their own mixtape “Twin City Vol.1” created a super buzz for the twins through the streets. Their upcoming mixtape “Dear Record Labels” is due to release February 2011 and is considered by those who have heard it to be the best project they have done to date! Their drive and dedication to their music careers has not been seen by artists of this age range since the 1990’s duo Kriss Kross.
