Dolla Black started his career as a member of the rap group “Dem Boyz” with his cousin La Roc. As a member of Dem Boyz, Dolla Black has been featured on two mixtapes and has developed his lyrical intelligence, ability to fit his style of into every track and has used his keen understanding of music to create masterpieces that get overwhelming response from fans today with track such as “Fist Pump” and “601 Wayz”, which garnered them a Jackson Music Award for Artist/Group Of The Year.
Soon after his label, Black Dolla Entertainment (BDE) was created. In the beginning on 2015 “Let Me Work” won the Album Of The Year Award at the Jackson Hip-Hop Awards and Dolla Black won the award for “Best Performer”. He and his independent label “Black Dolla Entertainment” also won a (n) award for “Best Label Cypher”.
Vice president of Def Jam Records, Grammy nominated, and multiplatinum selling producer DJ Don Cannon says “Dolla Black is a genuine artist that creates music that celebrates the wins of life and the struggles of adversity”.

DJ MLK featured “Ain’t F*ckin Wit Me” on two of his mixtapes, with Maybach Music Group DJ/Artist Dj Scream, during the 2014 NBA All Star Weekend and the 2014 CIAA Weekend.
Along with performing in Miami, Florida at the Core Djs 10 Year Anniversary & Retreat, where he won 1st place, Dolla Black is gearing up to Headline the 2nd leg of the Generation NXT Tour. The cities scheduled for this tour includes Huntsville Alabama, Montgomery, Alabama, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Memphis, Tennessee, and others that are TBA. The 1st leg of the tour Dolla Black also was the Headliner. The 7 city tour took him throughout the state of Mississippi. Dolla Black has performed alongside Def Jam Records artist Big KRIT on two (2) dates of his “Pay Attention Tour” where both (Jackson, MS and Oxford, MS) we’re sold out.
