I go by the name of Deuce Altendre and I’m an emcee/lyricist from Jamaica, Queens NY. I coined my stage name from the literary phrase “double entendre” because of my skill in using them in my music. My history as an emcee stems from my childhood of writing stories and poems. I began to seriously pursue a career as an emcee and musician at the age of 17. My biggest influence, amongst others, is Lupe Fiasco. He inspired me to master the craft of lyricism while also being a great songwriter.. A “breath of fresh air” if you will.
