Bio

Dan “Diesel” Ubiedi (Daniel Edirin Ubiedi) – Born: August 9, 1984 in Atlanta, GA.

Began being classically trained in music at the young age of 8. By the age of 15, had self taught himself over a dozen separate concert percussive instruments as well as the piano, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, & drum-set. Shortly after turning 17, then known as “D-Matic”, began engineering and mixing at various studios across Atlanta including the famous Patchwork Studios. Through the years he would engineer for artist such as the Ying Yang Twins, Marc Decoca, Midnight Black, Pastor Troy, Mr. Big Tyme (Check My Footwork), Da Muzicianz, The Hard Boyz, D4L, Savage, Rickey Smiley, Slim from the group 112 & various others. These experiences and encounters would prove formative as the renamed “Diesel” would evolve from engineering into producing, and soon develop a sound all of his own.
After several years of success on the underground music scene of Atlanta, Daniel Ubiedi enlisted in the United States Marine Corps to serve his country at the height of two wars. He would eventually be stationed at Marine Corps Base Kaneohe on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. During his time of service Sgt. Ubiedi completed several combat tours to Iraq and Afghanistan and was highly decorated and commended for his actions while in service. After 8 years of service “Diesel” would voluntarily separate from the Marines to begin pursuing his music career once again. Having already been settled in Hawaii since 2006, he would continue to live there with his long time wife and their two children.
Currently Dan “Diesel” Ubiedi is working on his debut project “The Cerberus”
