Damion James is an up and coming music producer, songwriter,vocal arranger, engineer. Born in San Diego raised and live in Richmond , Virginia found love for music while just looking at MTV (back when there was no rap or black artist on ) listening to all pop music but was blown away when he first saw Micheal Jackson and Prince. I drew more to Prince cause I wanted to play the guitar. Didnt have one so my uncle’s tennis racket was my guitar. Time pass til I heard my first favorite song by GUY which was Groove Me. That song made me want to create music forever. I started reading credits and found out this guy by the name of Teddy Riley was listed as Producer, Songwriter, Engineering Credits so me being young in order to make music I thought you had to do all those things. I started writing songs…checked, couldn’t play an instrument but for the moment i knew a guy that made music but when he told me $1,500 a track I said Shhhh#$@t thats a keyboard. So got me a Roland XP-50. Tought myself how to play by ear just listening to my favorite songs now music…checked…Now how do I get my songs sounding like a record…ran across an ad for engineering school in LA named Los Angeles Recording Workshop so went there and learn the art of recording and mixing…now my gun is fully loaded only one last thing I have to do to get my music to the massess….NETWORK!!! holllllllllaaaaaaaaa!!!
