B. Sidiq Alexander, A twenty year + veteran of the Entertainment, Theatre, and Music industries. Sidiq‘s, (A.K.A. Da Archutek), career started very early. He began, as a percussionist, attending P.S. 90/grade school for the gifted and talented. Continuing to study percussion, graduating from Mark Twain/Junior High for the gifted and Talented. However before moving forward to high school, Sidiq was bitten by the child acting bug, and at the age of 13 yrs old landed an appearance on the number one show in America, ”The Cosby Show, Where he was given the opportunity to jam in a music session with two of that episodes guest stars, jazz greats: Dizzy Gillespie and the legendary Charles “Babe“ Clark. Throughout High school, Sidiq pursued many interest, but stayed true to his first love(music). As a member of the New York City All City Orchestra, and a member of his High School’s Performance Band(electric bass guitar) Orchestra, Jazz quartet and choir B. Sidiq Alexander performed at such places and arenas like: Lincoln Center For the Performing Arts, Brooklyn College, New York City Department of Education District Conference, City Hall(Holiday Events) BAM. Mean while also playing locally with his band; Comocion(A Prince /Minn. Style Band/with lead singer Jason Murdon, A.K.A. of the Cafe Wa House band). Where they won “The John H. Dewey High School Battle of the Bands“(1987). After High School Sidiq’s life changed, from a chance meeting with the very popular hip hop group “Stetsasonic”. With members: Daddy-o(Steel Pulse, Master Pee, Queen Latifa) Prince Paul(Da-La-Sol, Grave Diggers), Bobby D Simmons(Shannon, Percussionist), M.C. Delight, Fuquan, Wise, D.B.C(“Self Destruction”, ”Free South Africa”/Anthem). He began to focus more on production. Instead of entering college, Sidiq went on tour as a roadie. Learning and comprehending the nuances of a live show. Meeting and working with some of music’s most sought after entertainers. Which allowed him to transition into Music Production, Songwriting and Audio Engineering. Using his knowledge and relationships in the music industry, B. Sidiq Alexander worked on many projects, records, and Musical releases including; Magnificent 7-Biv 10/Universl Music Group, 3LW/ Universal Music Group, Iron maiden/Protect-Ya-Neck/RCA, Freakie/Formerly of IN-To DEEP/Polygram, Deadly Venom/DreamWorks, UTFO/Select Records, and many more.

Through his Industry connections Sidiq was introduced to Andre Brown producer/owner of “The Uptown Comedy Club” which was also developed into a television show executive produced by Rob Reiner. Once again Sidiq was given a opportunity to show his creativity by the owners of “The Uptown Comedy Club“, and together they developed a weekly variety showcase “The Uncle Jimmy Mack Variety Showcase” was very successful and was stretched to four days a week(Thurs.-Sun) From one day. With entertainers like Tracey Morgan, Flex Alexander, Faison Love, J.B. Smooth, Freddie Ricks, Debra Wilson, Original Flavor, Bush Babbies and Mobb-Deep. Always looking to enhance and develop his career, Sidiq began to Road Manage. Recalling his skills from the Stetsasonic tour, B. Sidiq Alexander went on tour as road manager for a group called ”T.C.F Crew”/Cold Chillin/Warner Bros. Continuing to write and produce, he paid attention to the live sound and studio engineers and begun to try Audio Engineering, and began mixing records and building sound for musical skits, and cartoon trailors for companies like Sony Music, Universal Music, WEA, as well as feature productions; “Junior High”/Produced, Written, and Directed by Abdul Dandridge/Pressure Entertainment(ADR, Music Supervisor, Studio Engineer/Voice and Sound Editor), ”You Nobody Till Somebody Kill’s You/Nov. 2011/Executive prod. Spike Lee/“Make You Famous”/Sound Track Single/Producer: Da Archutek, 3LW, Force MC’s, Prodigy of Mob Deep, Jabulani(International), Full Force, Fringe Festival/Theatre, and more).

In 2003 after returning from abroad, Road Managing Ashanti(Murder Inc/Universal), and exited about being a father with the birth of his son Idries from his wife Jennie Alexander, he began to think about his future. Eager to advance, B. Sidiq Alexander excepted an offer from the Mayors office and joined the mayors staff as an Assistant Advancer trainee for Mayor Bloomberg. During this time at the Mayors office he was offered an position at NYC-TV. Excited for the opportunity he jumped at it and became Grip/Production Coordinator/Mayoral Liaison. After A Year at NYC-TV he decided something is still missing and enrolled in CUNY, working Independently for various networks and production houses/MTV/VIACOM/BET/SPIKE TV/FOOD NETWORK/CORNICOPIA PRODUCTIONS. Graduating in 2008 With an A.A.S in Communications, pursuing his B.A. in Corp. Com(2012). As B. Sidiq Alexander continues to excel in his career, he maintains constant work and personal relationships with various Entertainment, Theatre and Music Industry company’s and personnel through His Corporation Archutek Communications, LLC. Most recently R&B/Hip Hop Group Simplicity, Barefoot Presentation/Collaboration with East 3rd Street Productions/Production of “Verse Chorus Verse” at The Cherry Lane Theatre, and last but not least Actor/Comedian Kevin ”Dot Com” Brown(N.B.C.’s 30 Rock). and through his company Archutek Communications, LLC he hopes to continue the same level of service and professionalism that he‘s built so far in his career.
