Charles Ellis born on October 23, 1986 in Baltimore Maryland began teaching himself to sing, dance, and write his own music at a very young age.
“I was about 4 or 5 and all I can remember is dancing in the living room and singing around the house all the time. I would use anything I could find as a microphone, but most of the time, it was the TV remote!” Charles has recorded numerous songs that reach from one side of the genre meter, to the other. Very unique, soulful, natural melodies would be a few words one could use to describe his songs.

The World expects a certain sound these days and Charles is here to bring something different, fresh and new. “I was born to entertain. Whether it was sports, or singing at family events, i was always performing. I remember a few seasons of waking up in my car with no place to go. But I didn’t give up! It was in those hard times i truly got a chance to learn who I was, to push myself and continue on my journey to success.”

Charles Ellis feels that he does not have any direct influences, but has expressed his admiration for several musicians, including Michael Jackson, Lauren Hill, Stevie Wonder, Jagged Edge, Sade, DMX and Jay z. Charles Ellis explained that Lauren Hill’s 1998 album, “Miseducation of Lauren Hill,” created a “changing point” in his life, which made him see that music was art.
