Born Charles Suggs Jr., Charles Edwards was born and raised in the “Chi” aka Chicago. He started sketching clothes around 8, but after the loss of his mother to Cervical cancer at 13, Edwards gave up on any dreams of becoming a designer. By 15, he had become a professional model, but the work was slow and Edwards found himself re-treating for a time from the Industry.

By 18, to the surprise of many close to him, Edwards abruptly left high school in his senior year. It’s unclear what Edwards did or went through during that time. By 24, again to the surprise of many, he turned it all around graduating college and becoming an Assistant in various types of surgeries. He found he had a natural passion for assisting and caring for the sick. His main patient would now be his second Mom who was courageously fighting Breast cancer and recovering from a Stroke and Heart attack. Edwards leaned on his training as a Healthcare Provider, and dedicated himself to her wellness until she ended her fight. He left Chicago and set out on a major U.S. city tour of Healthcare facilities. Atl. New York, Philly, Bmore you name it.

By age 29, God would endow Edwards with a gift that would change his life. He was given the ability to produce innovative garments just by imagining what he wanted to produce. Edwards says “God came to me and told me exactly what to do, from the name of the product to the product itself, and the machine I use to produce. It was all chosen by Him”. Now 32 Edwards is CEO and Chief Designer of his own brand, and still assists full-time in operating rooms across the country. He still dreams the impossible and is blazing a trail to be amongst the ranks of the worlds most respected designers. Be encouraged. That’s You!
