Y1 hail from St. Louis, Mi and work hard to develop an identity and sound that stands out among competitors. Growing up, Buggs and Emri created music separately and didn’t take their craft seriously until they officially formed the group while high school. After releasing their debut mixtape “CrunchTime,” they received positive responses from classmates, friends and family. This inspired Y1 to pursue music more seriously.
Y1 has built a large buzz in saint louis. To date, they have completed a college road tour around Missouri and performances at various venues around the city. “For U” is the newest single released by Y1 and is featured on their upcoming debut EP “8 Tracks.” The project is centered around freedom to live life the way you want by overcoming difficult times with positive thoughts.
