Born Saint Louis, Mo, March 11, 1993 as Brittney D.
Joiner (aka) “BRITTNEY J” to Deborah Mitchell
where Brittney began to play the piano at the young
age of four years old. Brittney moved forward in
entertainment with musical theatre and stage plays
at the local community center and events in and
around Clayton County School District.
Entering Wydown Middle School, Brittney started
vocal classes administered and mastered by
Grammy award winning opera singer and vocal
coach Jermaine Smith . Jermaine still coach’s
Brittney till this day. At 12 years old, Brittney began
working with “Deez Beats Productions”, under
Laudie and Gerald Hinton. Deez Beats , laid tracks
on several songs that brought Brittney (then called
BRI) out to the for front in St. Louis and surrounding
areas. Her first video “Hop Scotch” hit you tube and
sealed the fate of Brittney J’s future “I want to be a
star” her mother remembers the day the words rolled
off Brittney’s lips.
