Hustle Boy is an up and coming emcee from Detroit, Michigan. Beginning his venture into the music industry as a producer, Hustle Boy quickly found he also had a love for being on the other side of the mic as a performer. Slowly he began to do more writing and things began to take off.Hustle Boy began work on his first solo project “Never Crap Out” which was released in November of 2010. The cd was met with extreme anticipation, and has received exceptional reviews.
Currently Hustle Boy is performing at various open mics, and rap contest in Detroit, Mi. Including a recent first place win at Jimmy’s Lounge. The relentless pursuit of gaining national attention, has led Hustle Boy to weeks where he may be performing three or four nights a week. “Keeps me relevant, and shows my work ethic” is his response to why he attends so many events. “If I can perform…..I need to be there, repetition makes me better, and the fans get to see my dedication”. At the same time he has begun working on his second release “Hustlin for Dummies vol.1” which is scheduled for a spring of 11’ release. Promising continued growth, as well as more of his signature chants and ad libs, Hustle Boy hopes people know he has staying power and won’t fade like many other emcees have. To make sure of this, his label keeps him recording, performing, or promoting. “That’s the only way this thing will work.”
“What I bring to this game is diversity, truth, and style.”–HB
