Bio

Up and coming rapper B-Hoody, is finally beginning to see the well deserved fruits of his labor, while enjoying a more than strong street buzz. His life tells the story of the ultimate underdog. B-Hoody, born Christopher Moss Nov. 8, 1989, comes from humble beginnings. He hails from the streets of eastside Nashville (Cashville), TN. At a young age he moved westward to Oakland, California. He returned home around the age of 12 where he and his sister were raised by his mother. These times were trying but helped to groom Hoody into the artist he is today. Soon after moving back, he began writing seriously; all the while, hustling to get by. His former street ways landed him in Juve- twice and jail once at eighteen. Realizing that traveling down that path could and inevitably would crush his dreams, he switched roles; hence the name change from Lil’ Bizzy the “street hustler” to B-Hoody the “rap hustler.” B-Hoody was born with music in his blood. His father, rapper Kool Daddy Fresh, sold 114,000 copies of his first album, but Hoody is not riding off his father’s fame. He has seen no profit nor support of his father from his music endeavors. His Uncle Rob, who he cites as his major influence in life (streetwise and music-wise), put him in the studio for the first time at fourteen. Under the alias Lil’ Bizzy, he has generated an impressive five mix tapes all before the age of eighteen. His body of work includes features with such artists as Kinfolk Kia Shine, Warner Bros. recording artist KeAnthony, and Konvict Music recording artist Ray Lavender. He’s opened up for everyone from Bow Wow to Young Jeezy to Lloyd. He has recorded at T.I’s Grand Hustle Studios in Atlanta, Georgia. He has worked with producers 40Pro, Street Symphony (Keisha Cole’s Heaven Sent), and Swizzo of Drumm Squad (Yo Gotti’s Sold Out). B-Hoody’s accomplishments include: • A nomination for Mixtape Rookie-of-the-Year at the SEA awards ’08 • Over 460,000 plays on MySpace thus far • “Get Bizzy” ft. Ray Lavender produced by Street Symphony, received an unprecedented 100,000 hits its first day posted on MySpace. Hoody plans to start his own label and clothing line one day with the upstart of a genuine movement entitled Stoner Musik Gang. As of now, it’s all about the movement and taking it to the next level. The streets wait patiently for the highly anticipated mix tapes Hello My Name Is B-Hoody, Seat Taken, and the forthcoming album Escape to Freedom. These compilations are guaranteed to wake those who’ve been sleeping on B-Hoody and great things are sure to come…
