Bio | Born and raised on the west side of the Windy city, Prince Robbo (Robert L Alcorn III) was a big fan of general pop music as a child but the sounds of Tupac and other West Coast Rap drew him toward the Hip Hop world. At the age of 11, Robbo began freestyle rapping to entertain his classmates in school. After receiving compliments on his verbal skills, Robbo would challenge himself by writing whole verses. By the time he became a teen, Robbo was successful in Rap battles in High school; he then began working on his first mixtape cd during senior year. After earning his diploma, Robbo released his debut mixtape, “Time Vs. Life” in the summer of 2009, which was engineered by his good friend Tony J. From that point on, Robbo would pursue the mixtape releases yearly. Once youtube emerged, Robbo transformed the music into videos in 2012 just like the mainstream artists. Performing at open mic events and Cable Access Network Television, Robbo’s open-minded mentality keeps him consistent but grounded. |
