he film takes place in New England in 1630 and follows a Christian family who gets hit with the worst of the worst after splitting from the church and doing things on their own in the wilderness. Their newborn child disappears thanks to a witch and their crop fails that year. In the midst of hardship, the family starts turning on one another and stress starts getting the best of them.
