Tiger Woods withdraws from Farmers in 1st round

Tiger Woods suffered another setback Thursday at the PGA Tour’s Farmers Insurance Open, leaving midway through his round with an apparent injury.

Woods, who appeared to be battling a back injury throughout the first round, talked with caddie Joe LaCava before leaving Torrey Pines on a golf cart.

Woods was coming off his worst score as a professional (an 82) and a missed cut (by 12 shots) at the Waste Management Phoenix Open last weekend.

He was on his 12th hole (the par-3 at No. 3 at Torrey Pines) and was 2 over before withdrawing.
