Young Guru: Piracy and invention

This is a great conversation to have! Piracy has been a issues long before hip-hop.

So in our physics class at Stanford, one of the things that came up that created a debate in class was a myth that Einstein was pirating IPs (Intellectual Property). He worked at a patent office as a patent examiner, so there is a question of whether his theories were actually his, or whether a combination of pirated information that he examined. After all, his job was to “correct errors of designs”. So there are some people that question whether all of Einstein’s theories were his, or derived from examining IPs.
