BMW unveils a the third generation of its brutish SUV, the 2014 X5. The car will come in three engine variants, a XDrive35d six-cylinder diesel, an inline-six Twin-Turbo sDrive35i/xDrive35i, and a xDrive50i model which sports a V8 engine with a Twin-Turbo system that will put out 450 hp, 479 lb-ft of torque, a 0-62 time of 5 seconds flat, and a limited top speed of 155 mph. Inside, the new X5 is spacious and roomier than the outgoing model and is chock full of hi-tech toys such as an improved version of their heads up display, a “SurroundView” 360-degree display, Night Vision with human and animal detection, optional Bang & Olufsen audio, and a big 10.25 control display to navigate through the company’s iDrive system. BMW
