With the return of HipHop Love Atlanta on Vh1 which happen to be the highest watched tv show on Vh1 history, I started to think are Reality Stars Becoming The New Celebrities?? I recently attened a Love N HipHop Atlanta event at Cream Lounge where I got a chance to watch tonight episode before it was premiered tonight. Everyone in attendance was so excited to the fact they got a chance to watch the show with the new, and old cast member’s of Love N Hiphop ATL. Stevie J, Joseline, and Mimi were taking pictures non stop which made me say DAMN everyone recognize them more over a new singer or rapper who song is on the radio right now. SO WHAT DO YALL THINK?

  1. Reality stars are trying to be high profile celebs like singers and rappers who have songs on radios but they’re not

  2. I think it’s a wonderful thing….. is giving people over avenues music got fake TV got real … in the words of Joe buttons

  3. It’s all Entertainment, Pop Culture has its different divisions. For as long as I can remember people have wanted to meet people that star on TV. Reality shows just so happen to be the toast of the television industry now so the starring cast are turning into celebrities. From Duck Dynasty to Honey Boo Boo, Love and Hip HOp and the Housewives franchises these ppl are gaining fans daily across the country.

  4. The term celebrity came about from people that became the most talked about & visible to the general public. Reality shows being high rated shows now. I always talk about the fact that Draya has over a million followers on Instagram where as a mega talented super star like Mariah has less than that. Remember the reason commercials are expensive on certain channels or occasions like Super Bowl is because of the visible reach they have. That business is going online now & imagine the pull reality stars that strategically take advantage of their shine now make of it. That’s my take but then again what do I know

  5. I don’t see a problem with it, as far as music, anything and anyone talented or not becomes a “celebrity” anyway these days so what difference does it make who’s a celeb or not? Look at ya girl KK lol

  6. For Sure. People Love to see everyday Life of a person and especially Drama. Plus nobody does it like we do in the A!!!!!!
