The General takes the Volt’s EREV (Extended Range Electric Vehicle) technology upmarket and presents the new and luxurious Cadillac ELR. The ELR is a new 2+2 coupe powered by a 1.4L Gas engine coupled with an electric motor which both work in unison to produce 207 hp and most importantly, allow for 300 miles of total range of which 35 miles of that range can be fueled completely by electricity alone. Charging can be done via a 120V or 240V outlet and a full charge can be completed in four and a half hours through a 240V outlet. The ELR will hit Cadillac showrooms in early 2014. Cadillac
