NYC-based marketing/PR firm the 135th Street Agency kicked off BET Hip Hop Awards Week with its 5th Annual BBQ – now in Atlanta for the first time (instead of Harlem). On a beautiful starry night, nearly 400 VIPs packed Piedmont Park’s Magnolia Hall, including event co-hosts Fonzworth Bentley and Kelly G (BET’s Sr. Music Supervisor), along with featured DJs Drama, Trauma and Traci Steele. While attendees danced and dined, notables such as Ray J, Da Brat, French Montana, Devyne Stephens, Dondria, Lil Duval, Verse Simmonds, Jovita Moore (WSB TV anchor), Kwanza Hall (Atlanta City Council), Faune Watkins, D.Woods, Shanti Das, Derek J and comedian Shawty mixed and mingled.
