MAN who predicted the End of the World

Family Radio president Harold Camping, who predicted that 200 million people will Rapture on May 21, 2011 and the rest will die in a series of natural disasters, including violent earthquakes, by October 31, 2011, refused to meet the media since Friday night (May 19) when it became clear that the world is not going to be destroyed.

Camping met International Business Times (IBTimes) reporters on Sunday afternoon (May 22) at his Alameda Calif., home and said he needed a day to think things over.

“Give me a day. No interview at all today. Sorry. You know this is a big deal and I’ve got to live with it and I’ve got to think it out. So no interviews,” Camping told IBTimes reporters.

Camping also told IBTimes that Family Radio will “operate as normal” on Monday and added that he will make a public statement on or by Monday night.

Many people are eager to hear what Camping will say as his prediction had prompted his followers to sell their possessions and quit their jobs in preparation of Doomsday.

  1. why did anyone listen to him in the first place? i will never understand. now he feels like an idiot.

  2. No offense but this guy looks like he has been raptured.

  3. People listened to him just like they listen to people on TV who tell them to buy the newest latest and greatest product even though they don’t really need it. They are afraid to find the truth because that would mean putting their TV, Radio, and Video Games on hault to find out. Lies and Opinions are destroying peoples minds.
