Sincerely JD, I have always been impressed with you, ever since I first met you years ago at a club in Atlanta, and have supported your work over the years… Now JD, as you well know, with leadership also comes responsibility. Your recent television interview depicts you as an individual with a GLOBAL view of uniting minds and bringing people together to discuss and share ideas and views on topics that are relevant, important, and life-changing. Let’s now be specific, with regards to the G14 T-Shirt, featuring Naomi Campbell, this one should NOT have been released!! We are maturing now, and when someone gets to the level that you have reached, there comes a higher level of responsibility….as the quote states..”To whom much is given, much is required”. I think it is fair to say without reservation that GLOBAL 14 deserves a better image than the one being depicted on this T-Shirt. Make no mistake about it, Naomi Campbell has accomplished a lot for herself and for the world of modeling, however, I do NOT believe it is necessary to have her on the T-Shirt naked!!!
    JD, if GLOBAL 14 is going to be the site that rivals Facebook, and Twitter by bringing people together globally for a common benefit that uplifts human beings, then let’s raise the bar by reversing this image that has gone forth, it is obvious by the comments of other members of the GLOBAL 14 community that we are NOT impressed with this!!, and really do expect better than this JD! I am asking you to make the tough decision of pulling this T-Shirt out of circulation! Great leaders at one time or another have had to make tough decisions throughout their careers, and this one is no different. I’m sure we can all appreciate Naomi as a very attractive, intelligent woman and a successful model and entrepreneur!!! I classify the above pictures as beautiful art, however, very inappropriate to represent G14! I agree with Tony. If we are going to rival Facebook and Twitter we need an image that uplifts & inspires all human beings. Other races have been known to not take us too seriously. We have been wrongly stereotyped as a community of people that are violent, lack intelligence, and disrespect our women. Let’s prove them wrong! Actually, I don’t believe you posted these pictures. You are an extremely intelligent and wise businessman! You understand that with much power comes much responsibility. This has to be a test, an April Fool’s joke or something!!! If this is real, J.D., let’s come up with some more creative ideas where G14 can be marketed to all people regardless of race, gender, age, sexual orientation, etc.,etc. We must remember there are other ethnicities, dignitaries and children on G14…. It’s not even high fashion, she’s just damn naked! Then knowing she’s was/is a supermodel, how much did you have to budget to get her to be naked to promote a social network not YET on the level of Facebook. When Omar Warsaw started BlackPlanet back in the 90s he had the right idea, keep it about the people, the community. If people want to pose half ass naked on their profiles so be it, but they didn’t use sex or nudity to promote the site.

    Figure out Omar’s strategy, Jermaine, then build on what he started, then sold. And keep it black-owned. You’re already doing it to a degree, but this Naomi shit is a major turn off as you’ll see in the comments.

  54. There is a way to be hip and cool without throwing it in folks face. Definitely not a t-shirt I would wear and I think you turn off a whole segment of people with this. You want to get the “brand name” out there and the name Global14 is the brand & logo so why not just do a simple black and white t-shirt with the logo on it. Start there. Walking around with a t-shirt with a naked woman on the front – that’s what the viewer is left with visually – not the brand name which is what your goal should be. If your goal is to promote Naomi Campbell – job well done but I don’t think that’s what you”re trying to accomplish. You can do way better than this.
