  1. I’ll just say the same thing I said on the last video.

    Mike…something is missing from your beats man…

    I don’t get the same feeling watching you make beats as opposed to other producers…maybe if someone sang/rapped on them we’d be able to really see the effect…

    …what I’m getting at is that… they’re not that hot… they’re kinda amateurish. They sound…unoriginal.

    But…all the best to you…

    I salute the dude for this opportunity but any kid with decent piano skills can craft that simple beat he just made. That wasn’t unique in ANY form. It had no style to it and was as dry as the sounds that come with the machine. Lets not fool ourselves here. The difference between a musician and a fan is the ability to create. The ability to listen and evaluate is the SAME. We both know what sounds good and what doesn’t. Just because he can create doesn’t mean that I don’t know what I like. That right there? I don’t like.

    Now you may trying to show people that you’re still active on YouTube but many people will like it JUST because its you…not because they’re actually able to honestly critique it. If I were you, I’d pay attention to the thumbs down comments on this video, they might help.

Mike i been following your beats.. some of them were dope then others were blahhh( like this one) when you make a track don’t focus on that track being a banga look at it more so as a expression. Paint a picture imagine what someone may be doing when they are listening to that song( whether they are driving with the top down, cleaning the crib whatever) That is whats separates a beat maker from a producer bro. Find that sound zone or sound that is yours and you know that no one can duplicate. I respect the hustle my dude i need to start posting my videos up of me tracking and in session. I would love to send you some of my work and see what you think of it and possibly lase my tracks. I hope my constructive criticism will help you out .

  3. F what you heard. This beat is tight. Just cause it doesnt go platinum doesnt mean it aint tight. I wonder what the beats sound like from the 2 haters above me.

  4. As with any type of artistic expression it is conveyed by an indivdual.. Therefore, outside opinions will vary. Personally, i’m feeling this composition!!! Mike, go ahead & get it in, cause you can’t please everybody & every song on every CD aint gonna be number one!!!!!!!

  5. You guys do understand that Mike is not going to post the hot shit on Youtube right. These are 10 minutes beats Mike makes just for his channel.

  6. Honestly, I’d be hard pressed to find JD posting wack content on LTL youtube page just to post it up there. He still has a level of a quality that he wants to attain.

  7. Plus, no one is talking about “Platinum” beats. Thats the problem, everyone expects mainstream. I’m not talking mainstream, I’m saying that whether its an album cut, or a single, it still has to sound good. That beat wasn’t “tight” or “special” it was just fooling around on the keyboard till he layered the track up enough for it to be “something.” I’m the first to give props when props are due. I’ve been a fan of LTL before it was called LTL and JD was just posting up videos on youtube. I tried to find a Kalombo beat that i’m really feeling and only a handful 4-5 out of the MANY MANY videos hes done. I really watched essentially all of them to see what JD might have seen in dude. So that says a lot. If it becomes an issue that “well hes just doing something for the fans” well if thats your “practice throwaway material” I don’t want to really guess what your “game time” stuff is.

    Like I said, I think it cool that hes got that opportunity from JD, but I think its unfair for fans to want to support him when hes not really doing anything. Lets also be clear. Most of the people on here saying they like the video would probably be happy with a beat made on a lunch table and some pots and pans.

  8. Yo, i got on here and I seen dude LTL fan is buggin. This man is gifted, just be real with yourself cause you wouldnt have wasted your time leaving comments. Ive had a chance to watch mike live blog shows and this dude got some heat. These tracks you hearing are dope but wait till you hear the stuff he doesn’t post. Mike knows what he’s doing and i respect that. I diggz his music in general (the quickies and all that). He’s a gift so Mike keep doing your thing man and stay positive cause can’t nobody be you.

  9. I wasnt hating at all if you see what i wrote I said the beat was blah..meaning just OK. I never said none of his beats were wack. I respect ART!!.. my myspace has my beats on it. POINT BLANK
