SO I SAW THIS AND ITS NOTHIN LIKE I THOUGHT IT WAS; FIRST ITS LIKE THE WIRE, TRAINING DAY AND NEW JACK CITY IN 1 LOL. IT WAS SOMETHING INTERESTING IN THERE AND THAT WAS THE ROLL PLAYED BY RICHARD GERE, HE WAS IN LOVE WITH A HOOKER. SO I THOUGHT I WOULD ASK MY FELLAS DO YOU THINK YOU COULD FALL IN LOVE WITH A HOOKER AND UNDERSTAND WHAT SHE DOES IS JUST WORK? BACK TO THE MOVIE IT TOOK TOO LONG TO GET TO THE ACTION FOR ME.

  4. damn jd you got the wrong perception…..i think the picture they were tryin to create was a person who sees life for what it is and accepts it. but to answer the question….the first thing that comes to my mind is HELL NAWW but if you think about it and really look at it…me personally i know there are a few chics in the porn industry i wouldnt mind fuckin wit…so then you gotta ask ya self well whats the difference between a porn star and a hooker? nothing really just the name.. society frowns apon hookers but glorifies porn stars when really itz all the same fucking for cash…would i fuck a porn star? without a doubt. dont know bout the love part tho.. i guess that would have to depend on the type of person you are… all in all i gave this a movie an 8.5 out of 10 i feel where they was coming from i guess you would have to watch crash in order to fully understand what they was tryin to do….

  5. I totally agree about waiting too long to get to the action. I liked the movie but it could have been better, should have given more insight to what made the characters who they were @ that time.

    I believe most men would say HELL NO to being in love w/a hooker. I personally know that I would not/could not be with a man who was getting paid to knock broads down. Before ppl say your man could be sleeping around for free what would you do? Simple ?, he would no lngr be my man. If I can be loyal & faithful, so can he. Besides, if he wants to get down like that I KNOW for a fact I can do it better than he can.

Saw it yesterday..Fuqua did a good job but i agree w/ u ..the action took a long time but i was into it when it did come!…That hooker/john thing was a trip tho..he did really fall for her..and i think she felt something for him 2..i’m not a dude so i cant answer the question but seems like it would be hard to accept

  7. i dont think i could but if i fall in love without knowing she was a hooker or a stripper i would not expect her to quit or change cuz i mat her like that n if i love her then i doesnt matter cuz i love her. but i will try to help her if she wants to quit. for example theres a girl that i knew back in high school n middle school that i had a crush on n love for her to be with me but now one of my friends told me she was a stripper and now sercretly i want her even more lol…..Living the Life

  9. I was so salty after seeing this movie. my man and I sat there for like 15 minutes after it was done re working the script. They could have done so much with it and they blew it. Great actors, but non cohesive story line. The ending was horrific. I am now watching the entire season of The Wire for some real sh*t. When Gere kissed the hooker after she was just finished smashing with some other dude, I almost threw up my dinner. DISGUSTING!

  11. I was considering this movie for part of my weekend & now imma re-route the plan!!! Considering those factors you’ve just conveyed, i wouldn’t enjoy it!!! The question you posed about falling in love with a hooker is crazy because a hooker walks the street day & night selling his or her flesh to strangers! And it is the oldest and one of the most lucrative businesses know to man yet, hookers by title are not only surrendering physically but financially because it is their pimp who’s really gettin paid!!!! Lmao

  12. it was good til the end…. i think the end was stupid and rushed. on the hooker part…… i think he fell for her heart. she listened to him and she made him feel different. so in that case you never know until you tried it. so to be honest i don’t know…..

  18. DAMN RICHARD GERE SURE DO LOVES HIS PROSTITUTES (PRETTY WOMAN) HE WAS IN LOVE WITH A PROSTITUTE AND HE MAD HER HIS BITCH..LOL…BUT TO ME THIS MOVIE IS AN UPDATED VERSION OF NEW JACK CITY…WESLEY (DRUG LORD) AND SOME UNDERCOVER (ICE-T, DON CHEADLE) GOING IN TRYIN TO TAKE HIM DOWN.

  19. The movie was a big disappointment. You had 3 different stories going on at one time and then at the end they tried to bring everything back together….

    They advertising like Wesley Snipes is going to be Nino again and he gets killed half way through the movie, DO NOT PAY TO SEE THIS MOVIE,,,WAIT UNTIL THE DUDE AT YOUR BARBER SHOP HAS IT FOR $5.00…

    And yes I could date a Hooker. I can separate her business and OUR feeling toward each other. Many men can’t do this, but Pimps can!! LOL

My question to you JD is why the white man gotta come out alive, all the black folks got smoked. Usaully its the black guy that gets killed 1st then who ever, this time all the blacks die and the white 1 walks away. Maybe there will be a part II where we see Don Cheadle survived and tries to get his wife back while the Fed bitch still trying to fuck with his way of life.

  21. I saw that too, I dont know it was wierd. A twist at the end.. The feeling was training day. I thought it would be better, more action. But still a “ok” movie.
