2012

THIS MOVIE IS ALIL OVER THE TOP BUT I MUST SAY THIS IS WHEN I STARTED TAKING A CLOSER LOOK AT EVERYTHING THATS HAPPENING IN THE WORLD WEATHER WISE. I DON’T BELIEVE EVERYTHING I SEE, BUT I DO BELIEVE ITS ALIL BIT A TRUTH SOME WHERE IN THIS MOVIE. IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN IT PICK IT UP AND TELL ME WHATCHU THINK.

In the mood for some mindless apocalyptic action? You’ll be hard pressed to do better than2012 ($16-$25). Directed by world-destroying specialist Roland Emmerich — of The Day After Tomorrow and Independence Day fame — this end-of-days film stars John Cusack, Danny Glover, and Woody Harrelson, who join the rest of the cast in chomping through what is at times comically bad dialogue while increasingly ridiculous disasters take place. Shakespeare, it’s not — just turn off your brain and enjoy the chaos.

  1. a bunch of bullshit is wat i think. No man on this earth will kno the date or time the world will.. The BIBLE says that.

  2. Well u have 2 admit, especially recently these weather events have been happening in abundance! It can either be coincidence or myabe this film was giving us a lil warning. I dunno, but whats going on in the world at the moment is worrying!!!

  3. the bible also says that earthquakes would be a sign of the last days… and tht god is going to rid the earth of the wicked… food for thought! the movie was dumb though.

  4. Alot of it was overdone, but yes it makes you think…..the visual effects were unreal….a good flick to pick up if you haven’t seen…

  5. This movie was totally extreme & it was bogus in terms of man knowing when without big g!!! But, that’s hollywood & it’s never real & at the same time it’s about profit margins!!!

  6. Saw it……Hated it!

All the rich people survive except the limo driver and his family.

    Bad acting and bad CGI.

  7. I dont believe the world will end in 2012. The bible, neither God gives any indication of this even in the word. Things will happen and are happening in diverse places, and so says he bible. God says he will not destroy the earth a second time by flood, but by fire; he also said we will not know the day nor the hour of his coming. The movie has some truth because of global warming and the way we take care of the earth we will end up destroying ourselves as far as the earth is concerned, which has nothing to do with the bible and Gods coming. peace

  8. FIRST of ALL this is MAN version of the last days or day….HOLLYWOOD!!…But nobody knws but JEHOVAH GOD….but we are in the LAST DAYS!! as u look at your surrounding and bible truth

  9. “what is at times comically bad dialogue while increasingly ridiculous disasters take place”- This lil part of the synopsis pretty much sums up the movie!!!! It was more than a little unrealistic in terms of the chaos & the graphics coulda been a lil better for a movie that came out in 2K9 *SMDH*.

With that being said, there are definetely some aspects of the story that don’t seem that far fetched. I wouldn’t go as far as saying that it’s believable that some1 can predict the end of the world, but you’d have to not be paying attention at all to not notice that the weather patterns have been screwed over the past couple of years & that indicates “something”, exactly what IDK.
I also don’t think that it’s far fetched to believe that the gov’t will KNOW when something that can majorly screw us all over is coming & keep it under wraps while they try to save themselves 1st. Or that if something like what happened in the movie were to happen that there wouldn’t B some pecking order as 2 who survives & who is just shit outta luck.

Now that I’ve seen it though, I must say that I have no desire 2 see it again, cuz while it was alright for what it was, it wasn’t good enough 2 warrant a 2nd viewing LOL

  10. i knew beforehand it was going to be exaggerated and i was right. i was not feeling how fake & computerized it looked. i didn’t like when all the earthquakes were happening because it looks to overdone and fake. more toward the middle of the movie i liked it a lot. even though it was still overdone, it looked more realistic (despite a few scenes). the ending i really enjoyed. it reminded me of the movie ‘poseidon’ a little, and i love ‘poseidon’. ‘2012’ was worth just seeing so you can have an input and see what’s everyone talking about. i don’t think i’ll watch it again though. – seeing everything that’s been happening in reality makes me wonder and freaks me out a little.
