  1. HELL NO CAUSE HIS TALENT IS WHAT MAKES HIM TIGER, NOT HIS PERSONAL LIFE…HE WAS WRONG BUT NOT TO BE DROPPED, ESPECIALLY NOT FROM GATORADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THATS BULLSHIT

  2. I dont feel sorry for him, he was being paid to represent a company at the end of the day and when your doing things like what he did it doesn’t look good on the company, its just business….

  3. NOPE! EXACTLY WHAT MS KAY SAID!! ^^^^ BUSINESS IS BUSINESS… PERSONAL IS PERSONAL TWO DIFFERENT THINGS NOT TO BE PUT TOGETHER, LIKE BUSINESS AND PLEASURE! OOOOWWW #BIEM #OCEANS #LIFER OUT!!

  4. Not @ all…. All the companies that dropped Kobe during his scandal are begging him to re indorse them…He spoke about it during an interview. I think people like Tiger Chris Brown & Kobe are good role models in a sense that they made mistakes & owned up to them unlike the superficial belief that role models don’t make mistakes

  5. hell no this not right!!! Tiger messed up just like other guys and i don’t think he owes anyone but his wife an explanation. The media has taken this to far!!!! and what the hell does tiger cheating have to do with gatorade??? I thought the reason he was endorsed by gatorade was b/c of his athletic abilities not his personal transgressions! They wrong for taking this man’s endorsement…. That’s okay though cause tiger still balling!!! LOL On a serious note people need to stop judging this dude and let him and his wife work on their marriage or lack of a marriage.

  6. dayum that is messed up….if the sidechicks knew they places and positions that would of happened…now that is messing up the sidechick cash flow now….

  7. and this is totally off the subject… but how do i add my pic to my comment??? please help?

  8. HIS PERSONAL LIFE SUDDEN HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH HIS CAREER OR ENDORSMENTS…THAT SUCKS!!! IM SURE ALOT OF OTHER FAMOUS PPL DO THE SAME AND GET AWAY WITH IT.

  9. im sure as he was doing it he didnt think he would get caught. and they probably didnt think the media would be going as hard as they have been going on him. most endorsement deals have a morals clause and im sure with the hoe count growing he is in violation of it. EVEN IF IT AINT CONFIRMED. In the court of public opinion he has officially crossed the line from being “THE MAN” to a cheating manwhore who fucks waitresses. I guess what happens in vegas really DOESNT stay in vegas. lol

  10. of course its not worth it..I mean like Johnta said “y do people want him to discuss a private matter publicly” I think people just want to be nosey. I dont know the whole story either but it seems like a man and wife issue..MAN and WIFE not man, wife, and everyone else..Gatorade is super wrong for that..

  11. FUCK YEAH TIGER’S SITUATION WORTH HIM LOOSING HIS ENDORSEMENTS? TIGER WOODS IS A DUMB ASS WHO CHEATED ON HIS BEAUTIFUL WIFE. WHAT KIND OF NIGGA WOULD DO SUCH A THING? SHE’S A WONDERFUL WIFE, A DEVOTED WIFE, AND A FAITHFUL WIFE THAT GUYS WISH THEY HAD. I WAS VERY SHOCK AND DISGUSTED BY THE SITUATION. I THOUGHT TIGER WOODS IS A INNOCENT/RESERVE TYPE OF NIGGA. WHAT IS HE DOING CHEATING ON HIS WIFE WHEN HE HAS A WIFE THAT HE CAN FUCK WITH?

  12. Well abc news said that gatorade was a coinicidence. That his contract was about to expire in the next few months anyway. So technically he didn’t get dropped. But about the fine line between buisness and personal lives. I heard on CNN one day where they were talking about brad and angelina Jolie, and Brad said there should be a fine line in Celebrities lives. But I also heard a caller call in where she said that when the celebrities chose to be in this profession that their selling there souls to the devil. Because you are sacrificsing somethings. Which I have to somewhat agree. JD, you, janet, Usher, all these ppl you guys need to realize yall are house hold names. Your names alone is a bizness. Janet. Everytime this chicks name come up chi-ching. Micheal Chi-ching. Okay? Tiger is worth A Billion dollars. Charles Barkley even said himself he’s a Billion dollar man he aint gonna get no privacy over this. Samething with somebody like janet. She carries a pricetag too. So I wouldn’t be surprised if ppl wanna know what kinda draws she got on. Yall got ppls money. Money just don’t fall from trees for yall, yes you earn it and you work like other pple but at the same token if you want privacy, if you want all the other qualities that other working ppl have then I say get a nine to five job, working 40 hrs. a week where don’t nobody know you stay out the spotlight, than maybe. But until then all eyes are on you.

  13. No, but we all know that’s going to happen. But looking at it from the other perspective…who wants the face of their brand to be a known whore-hopper (it’s just not good for business). But Tiger will get everything back eventually, this situation just needs to blow over.

  14. It is true that personal life and professional life is separate but when your professional life is easily affected by your personal life, it is wise to make all of your moves with careful thought and consideration.

Gatorade should not have to suffer for Tigers’ mistakes, especially when he (like many other famous celebrities and athletes) chooses the go down the wrong path and steal, kill, vandalize, and abuse, among other illegal activities. Although he didn’t break the law, he broke a sacred bond between him and his wife and that just happens to be something the media LOVES to bite and not let go of, let us remember how the media destroyed Clinton for the Monica Lewinski scandal. If celebrities, idols and public figures cannot learn from the consequences of their peers, they deserve to be dropped on their ass.

At the end of the day, Tiger messed up and Tiger is paying for it. I’m actually glad the media tear people up like this, now if only we can have the same happen to corrupt officials in the public office.

  15. Now don’t misunderstand I’m not saying celebrities can’t work and earn a living like everybody else, but understand you have to know what you putting out there. For example. Famous couples. Pple want to advertise they relationships? That’s all well and good but when shit hit the fan that’s when ppl wanna shut up. My things is we don’t have to know who you fuck’n. You could be fuck’n two rats and a roach for all I care. But the point is pple always gonna speculate and have somthing to say about celebrities but don’t sit up here GIVE pple something t to talk about.

  16. okay he cheated but it has nothing to do with his talent i mean Gatorade is all about sports and working hard. and tiger is super good at golf and works hard so they shouldn’t drop him. i mean what he did was wrong but i don’t think it should effect his career. but if you think about it shit like this happens all the time to talented people because of their personal lives. this shit happened to Michael Phelps,Kobe Bryant, Michael Jackson, and a lot more. and its stupid because the public acts like celebrities can’t make mistakes.

  17. I don’t think he should lose that endorsement because he wasn’t at fault.

  18. awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn i guess dats wat happens when u become a billionaire u have niggas hating on you all the time.

  19. Man you reap what….you know the rest. It is his personal business. But if Im Gatorade and my business with you is ur image..and ur personal life is messing with your image. Then yea you’re messing with my business! Cut ur losses. Its business.

  20. Tiger’s situation has nothing to do with his work ethic. The dude needs to be on Vh1 sex rehap..lol

  21. a contract is a contract…. if he signed up to be Mr. Perfect then they have a right to drop him for tarnishing his image… Nobody gets millions of endorsement dollars with free reign to do whatever the hell they wanna do. Morals clauses are there to protect the company who’s products are associated with these imperfect humans. Vick, Bryant, Micheal Phelps, Magic Johnson, Martha Stewart, all felt the pain for tarnishing their (personal) image. Tiger Woods is just another one who has to fight to recover his image…and endorsements.

  22. The media’s coverage of this man personal business is a hott ghetto mess. Gatorade just lost MY ENDORSEMENT!

  23. That’s so true @Monaco. Because I’m an up and comming writer myself and I too wanted to be this famous household name. Like Oprah and Maya Angelo and what not. But I had to think about that thing. Because there are ppl as well as critics who are wating to tear you apart and speculate about you and your material, etc. as well as paying you and giving you recognition. Also, look at Jon & Kate. These are two pple who voluntairly invited ppl and cameras in their lives and when shit hit the fan all hell broke loose. People need to be careful about what they put out here. It’s not all about money. Sometimes it’s people privacy and personal lives that pays the price.

  24. All I have to say is…. they damn sure dont do this shit to white people. White people can snort coke and beat the shit out of their women…..they can drive drunk, miss child support, attempt suicide, make openly racist remarks…. For that matter, Mike Vick got in trouble for indirectly aiding in dog fights and he went to jail and they still want to ruin his life.. Sarah Palin ordered wolves to be shot from helicopters, and she still may be our next president

  25. THE THING IS WHEN U R A CELEBRITY U R ALREADY IN THE PUBLIC EYE AND THEN WHEN U R BEING ENDORSED U R PUSHED FURTHER INTO THE PUBLIC,YES I DO THINK IT SHOULD BE A LINE BETWEEN YOUR PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL BUISNESS,BUT IT SEEMS LIKE NOTHING IS PERSONAL ANYMORE U DO 1 THING AND ITS ON THE TV,RADIO NEWS,BLOGS AND SO ON.THINGS HAPPEN NOBODY KNOWS WHAT GOES ON BEHIND CLOSED DOORS WHO’S TO SAY SHE WAS A PERFECT WIFE WE KNOW HE’S NOT PERFECT,BUT TOO LOSE HIS ENDORSMENT NO!!! LIKE MILLIONS OF PEOPLE R SAYIN THEIR NOT DRINKING GATORADE CUZ TIGER CHEATED COME THE FUCK ON NOW.IT SHOULD BE A PARAGRAPH IN THE CONTRACT THAT SAY’S IF IT IS NOT A VIOLENT OFFENSE THEN THEY CAN NOT DROP U FROM YOUR CONTRACT.BECAUSE WTH ALL THESE CELEBRITY’S NONE OF THEIR LIVES R PERSONAL SHIT GET’S LEAKED ALL THE TIME.

  26. NEVER, but its business.
guess it aint no friends n this shit bidness (best thang loso cudda said)

  27. Another thing about the Personal and Profession. Now this thing with tiger started out to be an accident two weeks ago. When the news first broke ppl was concerned about him and what not. But a little fender bender turned into 10 different girlfriends and affairs, to his wife redoing a prenup, to his mother-in-law getting sick and God-knows-whatever else. (Oh yeah and that funny as voicemail) all because this nigga hit a tree and a fire hydrant. First of all fellas is pussy really that good that you would go and hit a tree and a fire hydrant?………………LOL……..I mean really? Second see what kinda of damages a Billion Dollars can do to you? Anybody worth that kinda money, hell that’s fresh meat for the media.

  28. That is really messed up aint nobody drinking gatorade because of tiger I mean you can’t just drop the man because women are saying they had an affair with him we don’t know all the facts and its not for us to know. If anything we shouldn’t drink it since they dropped him.

  29. Okay now @TonyB everything ain’t about playing the race card okay. This shit is about ppl being stupid period. Just in case you missed it Micheal Vick is with the eagles. So if you take the average joe and put him in this same situation Black or White, first of all this wouldn’t be still going on. Second of all if the average joe had any kids they would be sitting in Child protection services. First. So sometimes just plain ignorance is to blame too. As for the average joe and his job, even if he did get outta trouble he wouldn’t get his job back like Micheal Vick did.

  30. Okay one affair No! he’s human, but we are up to 12 women now which is totally irresponsible and putting your wife at risk for contracting HIV, he obviously has issues and his name is tarnished now. Yes I think his endorsements will all eventually be pulled.

  31. Damn!!! thats messed up!! he didnt kill or hurt someone (physically)… they BE BACK cuz he’s the best and they cant deny it !!!

  32. Tiger to us is a GOLF player…an EXTRAORDINARY GOLF player …(the only reason the WORLD is in his business..an UNFORTUNATE situation)…Tiger off the green is a father,a husband, a son,…etc…it is not our place to critique him as a human…but SUPPORT him as TIGER WOODs GOLFER EXTRAORDINAIRE;-) Before this happen he was the BEST…i don’t believe this changes his GAME (no pun);-)

ps..we need to stop getting so EXCITED when other people cuF up…& start catching OUR own mistakes!!!!

  33. Like the Notorious B.I.G once said, ” Mo Money, Mo Problems ” . Tiger will be FINE! America loves a WINNER! I am not condoning his actions but It Is What It Is !!

SIDE BAR: Go out and cop that ” 12 SOULFUL NIGHTS OF CHRISTMAS ” by JD Y’ALL !!

  34. i dont think tiger should lose his endorsements, he got those because he’s a good athlethe not because he’s a goood human being….i just think he should have been a little bit more careful and smart about this whole situation. i don’t think everybody needs to be in his business either. i think he needs to come clean with his wife about EVERYTHING he has done and try to get some help.

  35. I think society needs to learn the difference between personal and public situations. We love stars and we (not me) think that they are some perfect beins, wrong. It is unfortunate that tiger is a big star and he and his wife have to display such a private situation. Just like you and Janet we all hope you guys would get back together we make comments and what not, but ultimately it is a personal private matter. I wish we as a society would seperate personal from business. Now if his wife wants to string his ass up then thats her perogative. She is the only that deserves and explanation for his behavior. I don’t think he should lose his endorsements because of his personal business. Now if he was accussed of rape or child molestation, then that is a whole different matter. Why do men stars hook up with women that only want their money and fame? Tiger should have just stuck with his wife she seemed to have his back.

  36. When your persona is you bread and butter then indiscretion such as these will effect your paper.

Gatorade, Nike and Buick didn’t want him to endorse their products just because he’s talented, it his entire image that goes along with it.

He’s being judge by his personal issues but he’s not the first. Does anyone wonder why John Edwards took so long to admit to his affair with that videographer and is possible the father of her child?

There are many people out there they may not agree with Tiger’s private issue and will stop supporting any products he’s associated with.

Bill Clinton, Jesse Jackson, Jimmy Swaggart, Gary Hart, Rob Lowe, Jude Law, Keith Urban, and the list goes on are all public figures in different committed adultery and were suffered from in publicly.’

    This shit ain’t new,

  37. Yes it should be separate but as a celebrity u know that’s damn near impossible. But from a business stand point if I’m paying you millions of dollars to represent my brand that’s been around for years. & it comes to light that you have 10 mistresses & on top of that didn’t use protection with @least 2 of them! I’m terminating the contract if peoples opinion of him changes to the point where I’m loosing money. Business is Business. Nothing personal!! Be smarter homie

  38. Has Vick gotten his endorsements back?

  39. Well they apparently have said that they made the decision 2 days before the “incident” was reported. But timing is essential to believability…why not announce it when it supposedly happened? No one endorses a person who has a terrible public image, point blank period. Its the equivalent to us normal folks getting fired for questionable pics on facebook. You are supposed to take on the “clean” image of the company and Tiger is no exception.

  40. What up Lifers, I hope everybody enjoyed this day.

    Business is business.
If you are in a position to make a living doing something that you love,
but you are holding onto secrets within your personal relationship(s),
it can and will interfere with your outlook and committment to your craft.

Too many times athletes, who are newly married, or not, go through a period
when there game is off. Secret comes out and they are back to raising the bar
and making history again. That’s what I’m waiting for.

“Secrets rot the soul”. Chris Rock

    Peace of Mind,
    PrettyBrownEyes

  41. The two definatly cross over. Gatorade uses Tigers professional career to sell to consumers. If his customers lose respect for the (Tiger) FACE of that brand, then they will not buy. Its a money game. He dropped from 6th to 24th in the most influential men to sell a product. Even though it should be PROFESSIONAL and PERSONAL. It wont and never will be for celebrities. This argument will never die

  42. I think he should b/c this should be a cold snap of reality to him and to others, don’t be slopy with it.

  43. JD plain and simple what tiger does in his personal life is nobodies damn business fam. Gatorade endorsed woods because he is an Future Hall of Famer Golfer but now that he has showed the world that he is human you want to take the mans wages from him. This is just pure B.S. bro. This companies ain’t Sh#T. He’s paid F#*k IT.

  44. Be deciding to represent that company Tiger was expected to represent them 24.7 They pay him 24/7 right. So if it was your company/label/idea and people misrepresented them. Wouldn’t you tell them to stop promoting it. I mean he has his own type of Gatorade. They cant throw a bunch of ladies on Gatorade and say you will get ladies like Tiger…or can they…It’s is a difficult situation…biggest golfer of all time…the mvp of the pga…THE BOTTOM LINE IS IF U AGREE TO REPRESENT THESE COMPANIES AND THEY PAY YOU FOR IT…THAT IS THAT…YOU WOULD NOT BE WITH SO SO DEF AND CHEAT WITH SOME TRASHY SUC A** LABEL…YOU WOULD BE RELEASED…

  45. Man what the hell does drinking Gatorade got to do with a man cheating on his wife. Thats Tiger and his wife business nobody else. So you mean to tell me there are athletes in world that are gonna say, I dont wanna any Gatorade with Tigers face on it because he cheated on his wife. FUCK NAW! That athlete is thirsty than a muthafucka he or she is trying to say hydrated.

  46. Fuck That! His personal life should be just that his personal life.
Niggas didn’t start liking the man because of his personal life they
started liking him for his game and the endorsments also liked him for his game. So Tiger don’t
owe anybody shit! Think about it JD we don’t love you because of your personal life
but some nigga do but fuck them! We love you for your talent. The man is HUMAN
    get over it.

  47. They didn’t drop Tiger they discontinued his line of drinks which makes sense because I didn’t even know Tiger had a line of drinks. LOL!!! Tiger is gold man. Those advertisers especially the big ones like Nike ain’t going to drop him.

As far as his situation, Tiger didn’t have to get married and from the reports he was cheating on her from almost the beginning of the marriage. Tiger will probably lose a few small endorsements but as soon as he win another championship all will be forgotten. He should let the wife go now and just cut a big check to her man. This shit is ridiculous man with all these women come out everyday. Tiger just prove his whole image was fake as shit though. He didn’t even want the playboy image like Jeter. I mean think about it. Tiger has a Rolex endorsment. Muthafucking Rolex !!! Nobody has a fucking Rolex deal. I didn’t even know Rolex advertised. LOL!! That how good his image was man. LOL!!!

All those women fans he had are like fuck him now though and will probably give their husband shit when he shows at those country clubs. The whore it up basically the whole marriage is just so disrespect man.

  48. All those women fans he had are like fuck him now though and will probably give their husband shit when he shows at those country clubs. The whoring it up basically the whole marriage is just so disrespectful man.

  49. The thing that I’m amazed about with this question is, it like celebrities think they are entitled to this fame and money shit man. It’s like you guys will come to the defense of anybody no matter what they do man because they got some talent. It just prove the whole industry has no morals. Look at the Pleasure P shit. The nigga should be done but I bet he will not be. It’s amazing this shit people will accept just to make a few dollars.

  50. TIGER IS NOW REALIZING HE IS NEVER WHAT HE WANTED TO ACKNOWLEDGE(A BLACK MAN). WHILE HE WAS ACKNOWLEDGING HE WAS SOME MADE UP RACE REALITY IS SMACKING HIM DEAD IN THE FACE…MJ HAS A SOMG THAT FITS THIS SITUATION PERFECTLY CALLED..THEY DONT REALLY CARE ABOUT US. IM COOL WITH ONE WORLD ONE PEOPLE ONE LOVE, BUT IS OLD CORPORATE AMERICA READY FOR IT. I DONT JUDGE PEOPLE FOR THEIR WRONGDOINGS BECAUSE IM NOT GOD BUT SERIOUSLY DO YOU THINK THAT THE OLD GOOD OL BOYS LIKE THAT? WOW IF YOUR BLIND TO IT WAKE UP!!! I HATE TO USE RACE AS A COP OUT BUT HELL JON DAILY CAN CONTINUE TO FUCK UP AND THEY BLAME THE SHIT ON ALCOHOL LOOK AT HIS TRACK RECORD AND YOU ADD IT UP…….EXACTLY…KEEP IT 1000 AND LIVE THE LIFE!!!

  51. Tiger was probably keeping Gatorade in business, you gotta stay hydrated with all that runnin around he’s been doing lol.

I agree that personal and business should be kept seperate but we All know that it’s never gonna be that way in the world we live in.

The man acted like a dog but that will never change the fact that he is one of the greatest sportsmen to walk the earth.
Won’t stop me from drinking gatorade either.

I would like to see something positive come out of this
mess, something to do with safe sex, STD , HIV and AIDS awareness…. There is no excuse for not protecting yourself and those you are with.

  52. no vick havent been endorsed by nike again if thats what ur asking
but he will once hes a starting quarterback again.
as for the Tiger thang. it sucks that he got dropped i wish he didnt
but if u live a life of fame nothing really stays personal anymore, unless
ur extremely good at hiding it.
i guess gatorade dont like folks that cheat. eh.
i think it would sell even more by keepin Tiger and having
the tpain fabolous – my girl gotta girlfriend as a theme lmao

    (just kiddin)

  53. Plus if i was in Tiger position makin all the money, i’d either pay them women to shut the fuck up, or
pull off a bill clinton. nd stick to my story “dave chappell voice” I PLEAD THE 5TH!!!!

  54. Not at all. Business is business and should be separate from a man’s personal life. Something like that can never cause a plummet in Gatorade’s sales. I personally believe that businesses look for anything on an athlete or entertainer that they can find in an effort to cause re-evaluation or simply just termination of an endorsement in these tough economic times. Remember endorsements are contractural agreements which companies and the person being endorsed may be locked into for several years. Economic conditions are sparatic aka unplanned and can happen at anytime so businesses no matter how much they feel the axe grinding their asses gotta cough up that change to the athlete or whoever until that contract has matured. Businesses look to cut cost. This is just an underhanded way of doing so. (MY HUMBLE OPINION!!!)

LIFERS YOU GOTTA READ THIS ONE PEOPLES… JD DON’T YOU AGREE???

  55. Never! I Feel That There SHOULD Be A Separation Of Your Personal And Professional Life…However, If Tiger Was Under Some Sort Of Contractual Agreement That Applied To His “Image” Then I Guess In Some Ways They Have A Right To Drop Him But If Not, I Still Don’t Believe That A Man Cheating On His Wife Has ANything To Do With Affecting A SPORTING Beverage’s Sales…If The Man Chris Browned His Wife It’d Be A Diff Story Though Lol

  56. To all those that think Tiger doesn’t deserve to loose his endorsements, I beg to differ.
At the end of the day, a company hires you to represent their brand and products, so how does it look when you are accused of having 10 girlfriends on the side?
To these companies, it is all about money and their image, so if your personal life should detract from what they stand for, then you deserve to be dropped. Its as simple as that. It is even more profitable to lose an endorser than lose customers.

Next time he will think about the consequences of his actions!

    * If these women are telling the truth, it angers & disgusts me to think that he put his wife’s life at risk by having unprotected sex with these women.
He definitely deserves to lose a few deals for that stupidity.

And if Kobe went through the wringer and lost endorsements, then why shouldn’t Tiger?

  57. i personally feel that they just need to let this situation go. yes its obvious that he cheated, but its his personal life and i feel they are taking this issue way out of context. at the end of the day, his wife was the one who chased him out the house with a golf club and forced him to crash, but now he is receiving all the scrutiny. i think that is absurd. people just need to fall back, and let them handle their issues on their own. and i no, i dont think this is worth him loosing his endorsements. there should be a line drawn between professional and personal life. everybody messes up in life and no one is perfect, just because he’s famous doesnt make a difference. im quite disappointed in how they are treating him, so i had a lot more to say than usual.

  58. JD, as we all know that morality does come into play because the endorser is endorsing in your image, plain and simple, so if that image becomes tainted then guess what, you lose that endorsement! Yes he should lose his endorsement because the reason why he got it in the first place was because of his talent & image, ask yourself this question, will you be America’s hero if you excelled in your craft but yet behind closed doors you were a child molester, adulterer, nympho, or etc. The answer is “NO”, so we need to look at the big picture, once whatever you do behind closed doors comes to light then be prepared for the consequences!

  59. IM REPLYING TO NAKITA BENJAMIN RESPONSE…first of all being beautiful dont mean nothing and if she was loving and caring he wouldnt of stepped out on her with 8other women…that is just common sense…cause if a man is to cheat he is not getting enough of attention from his wife meaning and he got somewhere else….and that probably happened because she got to happy with tiger money!! because she doesnt look innocent as well….

and i bet one of them executives from gatorade probably knew half his mistresses before and during tiger signed his contract with gatorade….now it would be different if he committed some illegal….but when you have all that money like Tiger Woods sidechicks come with the territory..

  60. Sorry, but if gatorade or any other product have a morality clause then yes he should lose. Another thing we must think about. Tiger basically claimed himself to be someone for children to look up to with all his charities and programs for youth so yes, his personal life is a reflection of his character, with that comes responsibility and as a person posted previously, get over it celebrities! There is a price with fame! you dont get to pop bottles and go yatching and flaunt it in the public eye without some type of payment. Sorry but it is what it is. My suggestion to those celebrities and anyone else that do not want to deal with all the hype, GO TO COLLEGE GET A PRFESSIONAL DEGREE, discover the cure for something great or solve a world problem and then you can have a better chance of living a luxury life in a a peaceful way. Do not take it the wrong way, Love ya but it is what it is

  61. Fuck tiger, not sorry for him….its sad that a black/half asian watever he is doesnt date black chicks, only white… i mean i am not supporting some1 like that.. hell with him

  62. Two words: Bill Clinton….
While I DO believe that if you are in the public eye, taking endorsements to promote products (based on your reputation) you have a responsibility to act morally…we let Bill stay in office. He represented a whole lot more than a sports drink, people.
We have some mixed up standards in our country….People cheat, lie, steal, drink – and we as a people buy magazines to read about it. We can’t have it both ways.

So no, he shouldn’t lose the endorsement.

  63. No i dont believe his personaly love life should the eason he gets cutt. but the samething happened to chris brown him and rihanna got into it and he lost everything including his wriggley brothers contract and what he did was kinda personal so idk how the cutting procces works but i think they should leave these celebrities alone for once its sickning

  64. Not sure if this has been posted but they did NOT drop Tiger, they dropped his product. They dropped his product a few days BEFORE the car crash incident which started the sh*t storm for him. Here’s the actual quote: The decision to drop the drink, called Tiger Focus, was first reported by trade publication Beverage Digest in an issue dated Nov. 25, days before the incident at Woods’ home in Florida.

Media is making it seem that they dropped Tiger due to his extramarital activities, but that is not true. As for JD’s question: NO Tiger should not be dropped from any endorsements. As my man says, “Tiger gets paid for his talent, not get paid for his personal life. I don’t care what they do off the field as long as they perform on the field it’s all good.” For once, I actually agree with my man….lol Whatever Tiger chooses to do in his personal life is not taking away from his immense talent as a golf pro. He is very talented and should only be known for that. He’ll be alright though. Look at Kobe. He was accused of rape, lost some endorsements, fans, etc. But now his jersey is #1, he’s back with his endorsements, he won MVP….as a country we are pretty forgiving. This will all blow over and Tiger will be back on the golf course kicking ass!

  65. You have to understand companies are endorsing a brand. Tiger’s skill as a golfer is what got him noticed but it was his “All American Golden Boy” attitude that got him his endorsements. Companies do not want to be associated with celebrities who have tainted images. When you step out of just being an athlete and becoming a brand, these companies own you and if you don’t do what they want you to do they will drop your ass quick.

I don’t blame Gatorade. He is a representative for them, not just on the golf course but off. Come on…how many golfers need Gatorade????? Tiger damaged his name and reputation and he will probably lose a few more endorsements before it’s all said and done.

  66. Why people holding Tiger responsible for his image. Who actually labeled Tiger the All American good guy??? WE DID. That man wasn’t preaching shit mane. RIck Riley of ESPN went on a BULSHIT rampage yesterday saying Tiger should fire his camp and quit his endorsements in order to get his life right. His life aint gone nowhere WE have taken it from him. Seems like we doing just as much wrong as Tiger has done. People gotta remember that he’s WORTH a billion he dont HAVE a billion. Vick HAD a $147 million contract but he aint have $147 million as we clearly found out. You askin the man to go broke over a mistake, get the fuck outta here. Another thing we gotta remember is we don’t know shit about his personal life so who’s to say that his wife is SO GREAT?? She just as private as Tiger so before we start speaking on the story lets get the facts straight PEOPLE

  67. I agree wit u JD there should be a line between professional and personal life. Far as his endorsements I’ll say this…Shaq cheated on his wife and no one took anything from him!!! That man worked hard for everything he got, and to take it away from him because he decided to get sex from some where else is ridiculous.

  68. @ Est_@_6_86 yes Society deemed him that but he went with it when he signed that contract and cashed those checks. The only lesson Tiger should learn from this is “Control Your HOES”. He could have slept with all those women at the same time while having 3 wives in different countries and they could care less because it wasn’t in the media.

Gatorade could give 2 fucks who Tiger sleeps with. The fact is that now it is in the media which makes it an issue for them. People are stupid enough to stop buying a product based on who represents it. If Gatorade keeps Tiger as a rep they take the risk of losing a lot of money. At the end of the day it’s all business and when his personal life became part of mainstream media then he forfeited his right to provacy.

No one is asking him to go broke over a mistake but when million dollar corporations have stock in you trust and believe they will drop your ass before it affects their revenue.

  69. Correction: Pivacy*

  70. They didn’t drop him as an endorser, they got rid of his line of gatorade due to poor sales throughout the year. So that had nothing to do with his personal issues but more with bottom line issues

  71. Wait…there’s more!!…..read all

Truthfully, I can’t really be upset at gatorade because what they are doing is a business move. Behind closed doors, executives can offer their own personal support, but as a brand they have to do what’s best for the Co.

HOWEVER!!!!!!That doesn’t make me shake my head. Tiger had his transgressions true enough, and he has to deal with the consequences within his marriage, more than the public can know, but what upsets me is how the media is actively working to tear him down. Say what you want, there is defintely a strong undertone of racism in that effort. He’s been on top so long, come on!!, You know the good ol boys hate that, but you have so many others in position that feel just like them and are feeding off of Tiger’s Downfall. I, imo, find a strong pattern of corporate, no, society driven, (the majority is what I’m talking about) tryin to bring the hammer down on Minority athletes, stars, musicions, professionals, trying to send a subliminal message of fear for living successfully just like the majority counterparts. If you can’t see that, then you are in denial. Race card!!, ha, this is the digital age, everything is subliminal now!

  72. He got the endorsement in the first place because of his image. Now that his image is tarnished, the brand doesn’t want to be tarnished as well. Would anyone buy gatorade now because they wanted to be like tiger? No. In the end, it’s all about BUSINESS.

  73. Naw it aint worth it. i think its bullshit when the media gets in peoples personal business. Unless tiger broke the law or something, then he shouldnt lose any endorsements because what he did had nothing to do WITH his endorsements. People cheat every day and its no big deal to others except the people it involves. so why should it be different for stars? by the media having a field day with it, is only making things worse with their personal life. Will the media be charged with murder if tiger loses it and kills himself? hell haw!! but you and i kno damn will it would be the media’s fault for fuckin with the guy. What tiger did is his own buiness. im not sayin he was right but i am sayin it aint nobody else business or problem.

And gatorade is a bitch for that!! with all the money tiger brought in for them, they are gonna dump him because of the negative press? thats a bitch move! if i were tiger id go sign a deal with powerade.

  74. I think this whole Tiger thing is totally uncalled for. Tiger is normal just like everybody else, now If he was larry that worked at Wal-mart or something no one would give a shit. At least I know this Nigga aint’t perfect. Shit men cheat all the damn time. Who cares! I think that people are so damn Judgemental(did i spell that right) anyway, I don’t think he should lose his indorsments though. That’s not cool! He doesn’t owe us anything.

  75. Yes, he should loose all of his endorsements. I am tired of these men f*cking all of these women and not paying the price for it. If he wanted to play around he never should have gotten married. Besides I never liked Tiger Woods anyway.

  76. Like a lot of people here have already stated…….
These company’s that endorse celebs put morals clauses in their contracts for a reason. Tiger knew when he signed on that dotted line that all of those companies were paying for him to maintain a squeaky clean image & that shit got clean blown out of the water. True, personal business should be private but I’m sure he would have not been worse for wear financially if he didn’t have all these endorsements & right now he wouldn’t have to be worried about losing his endorsements for personal matters.

  77. what up j,d..i think you are right that it has to be a line between your professional and personal life….but in this situation gatorade actually made that announcement two days before the tiger situation came out. that story was first reported on 11-25 in print but it came to life again when dan rovell from cncb found out about it and reported it. when he questioned gatorade about it being truthfule they released a statement trying to get out in front of people thinking they did this due to tigers current situation…holla!

  78. I do not think that Tiger should have been dropped.
I think Tiger’s personal life should be just that.
Was his personal life affecting his sales. No
Tiger and his family should be left alone.

  79. Some friends and I touched on this. In my opinion there definitely should be a boundary between one’s “personal” and “professional” life. These companies end their endorsements….are they approaching said individual on the merits of that person’s talent, skill and abilities in a particular field (i.e. sports, music, etc.) or are they just looking for the next “face of interest” for that particular frame of time? Take for instance Gatorade, an obvious sports drink. What should they care about an athlete’s personal life since when were their products focus geared towards improving social morality & ethical conduct? They are in the business of sports performance. Now it would seem more reasonable if “steroid use” or other athletically unethical activities took place and an endorsement were dropped….but for being a womanizer, slut, tramp..whatever has no precedence. I say this not to justify wrong doing but if a company is going to approach someone in the aspect of “business”, it should be kept at just that. Hell look at Ron Jeremy (a known porn star) promoting Extenze an alleged male enhancement product when he should really be promoting safe sex not to mention proper fitness/nutrition (how did he get those scenes go figure *lol*) hence his prior fame in that particular industry portrays the image of male virility. Whereas we have Tiger whose profession in athletics emanates imagery of athletic pursuit, dedication and if you want to take it there…”social perseverance” , you know what I’m talking about think “club house rules” and “lawn jockey”. For what it’s worth he should’ve known better and not have even got married if he truly wasn’t ready…as with all things in this world even love, sex & desire comes with a cost…think about that the next time you pay for dinner, clothes or a lap dance.
    Peace

  80. U KONE JD,PEOPLE SO DAMN STUPID IT’S UNREAL. DON’T KNOW IF U CAUGHT IT OR NOT ,BUT THE SAME THING HAPPEN,IN FLORIDA WITH MICHAELS JORDANS SON,HE REFUSED TO WEAR A PAIR OR ADDIDAS,(HE’S ON THE B-BALL TEAM) INSTEAD HE WORE A PAIR OF HIS FATHERS SHOES INSTEAD,BECAUSE THE BRAND NAME MEANS SO MUSH TO HIS FAMILY. THEN THE SHOE COMPANY,(ADDIDAS) DROPPED THE CONTRACT THEY HAD WITH THE SCHOOL ALL BECAUSE OF THAT…..WHAT A THING OF BULL. BUT HEY U KNOW HOW THEY DO THEY GET U COMMING AND THEY GET YOU GOING….IT’S ALL B.S. IF U ASK ME………

  81. U Right JD…a line need 2 be drawn between Biz and Personal..everybody has a personal life aint nobody perfect…the media and others r stupid 2 praise and worship idols they aint no god…these r inperfect humans born 2 make mistakes…

  82. It was really wrong for Gatorade to drop Tiger woods just because of allegations of him cheating. As we are all humans we make mistakes hell even I do. But since he’s a highly public figure with a image too keep up anything and everything that he does is under the microscope. Yes he had troubles with his marriage but as man he wanted too do it quickly and with less damage to his character as possible. This just goes to show that being human with flaws is not cool so I guess he should be a robot not be human at all.

  83. I don’t know any kids or teenagers that look up to Tiger like that anyways, so it doesn’t make sense. Grown ass men aren’t generally impressionable people.

  84. I don’t think it’s worth him losing his endorsements. These companies act like we’re looking at them when celebrities do something wrong. This whole time, I’ve never once thought about Gatorade. His personal life has nothing to do with that. Gatorade wouldn’t even be news if they hadn’t dropped Tiger. Nobody cares about who reps these companies. If we like Gatorade, we’ll drink it regardless. Tiger’s real fans won’t condone his actions but will continue to support him and if they were doing that by buying Gatorade, then they still will. Now when it cmes to things like McDonald’s and other things targeting children then it may not be such a good idea to keep them. It would be kinda awkward to see Tiger talkin about Happy Meals. lol

  85. I don’t feel like it’s worth him losing his Gatorade deal, but I understand the business move made by Gatorade. It’s kind of like…. if a multi-billion dollar company were to hire Madoff after the ponzi scheme. Just not good business. Deals and stock would probably fall off the table, just because of the name association. Now, that might be a drastic comaprison, but when people think Tiger Woods they’re going to associate him with adultry. They’ll still associate him with golfing greatness, but his image has been severely bruised. I think the only way, public relations wise, that he begins to repair his image is to give a press conference. ONE press conference. Put a time limit, or a question-per-person limit on it and put his face out there. Written statements only go so far. I won’t be surprised if the majority of his endorsements fall off. Look what happened to Kobe…

  86. Hmmm idk that, thats crazy. His personal life has nothing to do with the ability of him swangin that golf club….Im so over it. The media is so messy. Professional and personal life are just what they are. There’s a big line between the two. He’s aint the first and wont be the last. Endorsements are so interesting….they are all on your nuts when everything is great and soon as you have a slip up, they throw you under the bus and run over you like its nothing. smh……

  87. I do think that he was rightfully dropped from his endorsements cause if I was the manager or the head personin charge of Gatorade, I wouldn’t want someone who’s name is dirty at the moment to represent my company. I think if they kept him, that would kind of mean that they condone what he did. I still fuck with Gatorade though; there was a poll question asked by at&t I believe, & they were asking ‘are you still going to buy Tiger’s products?’ Uhhhhh; HELL YEAH! If I feel like drinking my favorite flavor of Gatorade [that fruit punch with the X factor shit in it], I’m not going to go thirsty just cause he doesn’t know how to stay faithful to his wife. Lol.

I am Charismatic; & I still fucks with Gatorade. Lol

  88. HIS PERSONAL LIFE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HIS GOLF GAME…. GATORADE CAN GO SOMEWHERE. THEY DROP TIGER I’M DROPPIN GATORADE. NO MORE FOR ME. I GOT YO BACK TIGER….. AND WHEN TIGER GET OUT OF THIS I HOPE HE SIGNS WITH POWERADE.

  89. It’s not like he commited a crime so I say no, but if it was in the clause that you have to represent this product in a certain manner then yes…..only if it was in a clause.

  90. Jermaine… I know you understand marketing so I don’t need to explain that to you……companies select individuals based on image not just accomplishments and your personal life is a reflection of you! so… no you can not seperate the two when you are signed to represent a company. I think Gatorade is making a smart move….why lose costumers over Tiger….business is business! he is out of control! got the old woman havin a heart attack at the house….come on man.

  91. Tiger Woods is a brand, and right now his brand is bad for business. As much as he is entitled to a personal life, when he messes up personally he tarnishes his brand. No one wants to be investing money into damaged goods; and at this point that is exactly what Tiger’s image is, damaged goods.

  92. His situation is not worth him losing any endorsement. I am pretty sure, when they signed him up, they were not concerned about his love life , and thus they should not be concerned right now, because it is NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS. He does not owe anybody an apology EXCEPT his wife. All this bull crap that he is a public figure and he needs to release apology statetements is bull in my opinion. If your kids are looking for role models, BE THAT ROLE MODEL. At the end of the day he is human, and as such treat him like one, not like some sought of god that cannot make mistakes!!!!!!

  93. The majority of these athletes don’t read their contracts when it comes to endorsements. The majority of these endorsements have “Morality Clauses” meaning even if it’s something personal if you fuck up:Adultry, Dog Fighting, Shooting yourself in the fucking leg, etc, you could become a liability to their brand. Them muthafuckas will drop your ass with a hotness.

  94. ………..He’s a public figure… I agree business is business but unfortunately, his personal choices are fucking up his business responsibilities…. His bad!

    Nisha
    XOxo

  95. Hell naw he was endorsed by what he did on the course not what he did in the bed. The gadorade is named after him how they going to drop him?

  96. Of course Tiger will lose endorsements. One has to understand that it’s business and personal for these companies. It all boils down to morality. Tiger compromised his morals while he was in the public spotlight. Didn’t the same thing happen to Chris B. and Michael Phelps? Even Cover Girl threaten BET about letting Chris B perform on the awards? and gave Rihanna a stern talking to about the message she was putting out mix messages about domestic violence? These corporations don’t want to make it look like they are supporting immoral behavior. Bottom line.

  97. All i know is.. it sucks to be famous.. sometimes your personal life is just that.. personal.. I live in Orlando.. and hes about 30 mins. from my house.. and all day everyday he’s on the news… @ this point.. he cant afford to shit and use an off brand toilet paper! It wasnt cool for him to be dropped but that’s the price he’s paying for publicly…..

  98. I think the press should leave Tiger the hell alone. The way they are reporting it is ridiculous.
I’d also like the girlfriends to shut up and stop fueling the media. ~shaking my head~

  99. NOPE.. i dont think he should..first of all we as a society hold ppl that are”public” ppl on a pedestal like they are infallible…they are human like all of us with issues..vices..they make mistakes..Ppl may THINK differently but at the end of the day i think race is a contributing factor..EVENTHO Tiger considers himself to be Caublasian @ the end of the day he is seen as a black and maybe asian mixed man who messed up…Michael Phelps got caught on camera smoking weed and lost NO endorsements..Tiger is up on some straight he say/she say bullshit other than a one way phone call and he is being dropped faster than a hot potato

  100. the only reason to drop the endorsement is if you have to worry about backlash from the consumers you target.

somehow, i doubt that Gatorade consumers care about his cheating ways. Mothers that buy their sons sneakers may think twice…but other athletes and gym rats probably won’t.

  101. same like chris brown. yes its a personal issue but it has been brought to light for all of the public to know and these people have chosen to be in the public eye why should companies be forced to be associated with someone’s drama that has now become a public matter that is tarnishing their name. this is a situation that is unfair 2 both sides but look at it this way a public figure would not want to be associated with a company that promotes cheating so y should a company be forced to endorse an outed cheater?

  102. hey! my name is alex but i go by Joda-Bree and im really on a hunt to make some serious connections and to network as much as possible. im a bachealor i do my own recording, writing, designing, show planing, and promotion. i just hope for a chance and not to get looked over like any ol artist. and trust me…you wont be mad at what you hear if you let me email my songs!
    thanks!

p.s im bound to make so so proud!
    918 813 8190

  103. I agree with @charloetta…..and I would also add that he has to live with the decisions he made and only needs forgiveness from his wife because he already has it from GOD…people trip me out worrying about who people getting sex from.

  104. truth of the matter is hes fuckin with the money. most contracts have moral clauses and with the economy being the way it is sponsors are lookin for a way out and he gave it to them!

  105. No matter how different and how much he wanted to disassociate himself with being Black, that shot always comes back to bite you in your ass. Now these same mF’s you put on a pedal stool and wanted to be like allowed you to, but they treat him ass like everyone else, especial if your black. They will give you everything and once you fuck up your image, boom theres go the money and the endorsements. Fuckin loser man. he ass shouldnt have gotten married. now he going to move to sweden with his skinny ass wife and become another type of yes man, only this for his abusive wife who acted like a sista and whipped his ass. dumb ass, so whoever drops him it’s to be expected becuase they do that shit to all famous black people just to put you in your place. Oh, but I forgot he’s not black, I never like his punk ass.

  106. he wasn’t just selling his golf talent but his sqeaky clean image as well…the cat is out the bag …his shit stinks too…and it’s his fault he shoulda been cheatin with the right women

  107. I don’t think his personal life should effect his ENDORSMENTS… I say that because it is his game the got him the ENDORSMENTS and that’s what it should be about…

  108. LOL. im gonna drink even more gatorade after all this. more then i drink now after a night of drinking. keep up the hoe party tiger. your wife was probably getting on your nerves any fucking way. dont know man wake up one day and go hard with mad other girls because he has a happy relationship at home. please wake the fuck up into reality. relationships start and fail on a two way road. im actually starting to think long monogamous relationships are not natural. will smith is in an open relationship, and thats why that shits still working.

  109. Thanks for the nice post…
